A short drive from St Ives, Sandy Acres is home to some of Cornwall’s tallest sand dunes. From the top you get a sweeping view across St Ives Bay with Godrevy Lighthouse perfectly framed. It is one of the most spectacular golden hour locations in the county. The dunes glow in the evening light and the lighthouse stands out sharply against the sky. Seals and dolphins are often seen in the waters around Godrevy and Gwithian, and sunset is one of the best times to spot them.
