Best Takeaway Coffees

Did you know that here in the UK, we consume 2.8k of coffee per person, per year? On average, we drink around 2 cups of coffee per day. Consumption of coffee in the U.K varies by age with the  Generation X and over 72 year olds drinking on average 3 cups a day – does that sound like you? If so, when enjoying your St Ives holiday, here are the best spots for takeaway coffee in Cornwall.

Yallah St Ives

Tucked away in a small cubby hole on the harbour front, the Yallah Kiosk is a favourite destination for people to stop off for some friendly service and a delicious coffee. The coffee is prepared for you by a highly trained barista and the Yallah Coffee you’ll be drinking is roasted in Cornwall, so what’s not to love!? If you’re feeling a little peckish too, be sure to check out their blackboard for their freshly prepared treats of the day!

Poldhu Cove Beach Café

Poldhu Beach is located in Mullion and their beach café, with a sand path to its entrance, is a perfect place to start you walk by getting a hot drink! The views are beautiful, the staff are friendly and the coffee is great. Although, we must admit, the coffee is somewhat over shadowed by their epic hot chocolates, we’ll attach a picture for you to see yourselves because words will simply not do!

Godrevy Café

Located just a stone’s throw from the beach itself, Godrevy Café is one of our absolute favourite places to stop off for a coffee and slice of cake to enjoy on a blustery walk around the coast to spot the lighthouse. It’s small and popular so you have to make sure you time it right, but the staff work extra hard on the busy days and if you can, it is certainly worth the wait.

Jordans Café

Now, although a café in a carpark may not be the first thing to come to your mind when you are thinking about the best place to get your takeaway coffee, what if we said this car park overlooks one of the most iconic spots in the UK? Jordan’s is perched on a corner in Marazion carpark which has uninterrupted views and easy access to Long Rock Beach and St Michaels Mount. There is truly nothing quite like sipping on a coffee watching the waves crash over a perfectly perched castle in the sea!

The Yellow Canary

If you have strolled along the cobbled Fore Street, you have strolled past the much-loved Yellow Canary Café. A true bit of sunshine in anyone’s day will be taking a look in their window at their assortment of treats displayed. They have an eye for coffee and each order finished to perfection and without sounding like too much of a difficult customer…their oat milk, vanilla, iced coffees are amazing!
