About 15 The Digey
Located just off a cobbled lane that heads to the beach one way and the shops the other, this apartment provides a private and rather secluded corner to what is a normally a vibrant part of St Ives by day. By evening, as beach life transforms into lazy ambling along the shop-lined Fore Street, 15 The Digey is perfectly placed to explore the town for restaurants, bars, galleries and shopping. You are never further than 10 minutes away from any of St Ives’ beaches with Porthmeor being the closest at just 350m door to sand.
15 The Digey has a small corner of a shared courtyard
where the owners have lovingly erected a bamboo screen behind which
you can sit for a private tipple or morning coffee with the first
rays of sunlight. Walk up some external steps to the front door,
then up again an internal flight of stairs. Once inside, the sense
of welcome and happiness will overwhelm you. There is a comfortable
and light bedroom with double bed, TV and sea glimpses over
'orange' rooftops. Into the kitchen, there is a gas hob, oven,
dishwasher and washing machine, plenty of cooking utensils for home
dining and a table that romantically seats two. There is a sofa bed
that can sleep a third small person or child if needs be. The
colour scheme and furniture will certainly make you feel at home
with extra touches of comfort so it can be, and feel, so much more
than just a base. Beautiful windows look out on both sea glimpses;
Porthmeor sea in one direction and St Ives harbour the
For evening or daytime entertainment, there is WiFi, a Freeview TV, DVD player, Amazon Echo (where Alexa is charmingly happy to help) and docking station to plug in your devices to listen to your own music.
