About 3 Sea View Place
Picture this – immense sea views, doors open with a warm breeze blowing through, the sound of happiness outside, Godrevy Lighthouse framing the window, cool Cornish slate beneath your feet, stylish and comfy sofa inviting you to sit and take in the vision of the hot, summer sky and emerald sea… All this topped off with your other half preparing a glass of your favourite drink from the cream Shaker style kitchen equipped to make a budding chef or barista happy. Enticed?
Now picture this - a wind whipping up outside the ceiling
to floor French windows, the sea energetic and full of character
challenging the hardiest of fishermen, the skies menacing with rain
clouds, the wood burner fuelled and heating the Cornish slate and
solid oak floors to a toasty temperature, the same stylish and
comfy sofa enveloping you in its throw while you tuck your feet
under its softness, and a warm cup of your favourite drink or
bubbling glass of Prosecco being handed to you while you take in
the entertaining sights of St Ives in a storm.
3 Sea View Place is a superb two storey apartment which peers over Bamaluz beach and is moments away from Porthgwidden and Porthmeor beach as well as the harbour and Smeaton's Pier. The ground floor living area is open plan living room and kitchen/diner. Coming in from street level through the stable door, you walk into the kitchen with slate floors and black granite worktops, a red SMEG fridge/freezer and SMEG cooker. Walk past the dining table with four Charles Eames style chairs through to the living area with oak floor and inviting wood burner.
From the living room, a trap door goes down to the twin bedroom - otherwise known as 'Below Deck'! In its previous life, it was an old net cellar for the fishermen but is now a bedroom with two single 2ft 6" beds, an oak floor and an en suite shower room. With restricted head height of 6 feet and a set of paddle stairs which go down to this room, it's really not the best for very young or the infirm as they are steep and narrow. Quite fun really for teenagers and the young at heart! Below Deck has a flat screen TV with DVD player and mood lighting.
The double room on the first floor has a Laura Ashley cream bed, painted floorboards and the best view to wake up to ever! Snuggle down into lovely cotton bedding (and feather duvet and pillows) and dry off with luxury, fluffy white towels. For those nights when you just want to shut the curtains and watch a film in bed, there is a TV and DVD in this wonderful bedroom.
3 Sea View Place isn't just any St Ives self-catering apartment…
