About 3 Sea View Place

Picture this – immense sea views, doors open with a warm breeze blowing through, the sound of happiness outside, Godrevy Lighthouse framing the window, cool Cornish slate beneath your feet, stylish and comfy sofa inviting you to sit and take in the vision of the hot, summer sky and emerald sea… All this topped off with your other half preparing a glass of your favourite drink from the cream Shaker style kitchen equipped to make a budding chef or barista happy. Enticed?

Now picture this - a wind whipping up outside the ceiling to floor French windows, the sea energetic and full of character challenging the hardiest of fishermen, the skies menacing with rain clouds, the wood burner fuelled and heating the Cornish slate and solid oak floors to a toasty temperature, the same stylish and comfy sofa enveloping you in its throw while you tuck your feet under its softness, and a warm cup of your favourite drink or bubbling glass of Prosecco being handed to you while you take in the entertaining sights of St Ives in a storm.

3 Sea View Place is a superb two storey apartment which peers over Bamaluz beach and is moments away from Porthgwidden and Porthmeor beach as well as the harbour and Smeaton's Pier. The ground floor living area is open plan living room and kitchen/diner. Coming in from street level through the stable door, you walk into the kitchen with slate floors and black granite worktops, a red SMEG fridge/freezer and SMEG cooker. Walk past the dining table with four Charles Eames style chairs through to the living area with oak floor and inviting wood burner.

From the living room, a trap door goes down to the twin bedroom - otherwise known as 'Below Deck'! In its previous life, it was an old net cellar for the fishermen but is now a bedroom with two single 2ft 6" beds, an oak floor and an en suite shower room. With restricted head height of 6 feet and a set of paddle stairs which go down to this room, it's really not the best for very young or the infirm as they are steep and narrow. Quite fun really for teenagers and the young at heart! Below Deck has a flat screen TV with DVD player and mood lighting.

The double room on the first floor has a Laura Ashley cream bed, painted floorboards and the best view to wake up to ever! Snuggle down into lovely cotton bedding (and feather duvet and pillows) and dry off with luxury, fluffy white towels. For those nights when you just want to shut the curtains and watch a film in bed, there is a TV and DVD in this wonderful bedroom.

3 Sea View Place isn't just any St Ives self-catering apartment…

This is our second stay at this property this year. Clean and homely, with absolutely everything you could need. Loved it and hope to book the same property again next year. Highly recommended for a family of four - the kids will love the room under the floor!

Wunderbar ! Danke !

We stayed at 3 Sea View. A lovely cottage, Clean and Tidy with Beds made and a little welcome pack which we have never had before (this is our 5th time to st ives). The Cottage looks out onto a Doggie Beach and has beautiful views. 1 minute walk is the Harbour and Pier, 2 minute walk to another beach, 4 minute walk to a surfing beach, 10 minute walk to porthminster beach. Spoilt for choice. The booking through Orange Roof was simple, communication excellent. The Cottage itself had main double bedroom, wardrobes plentiful and upstairs bathroom. Middle floor was main lounge, kitchen and dining room, and then ground basement was a small 2 single bed with shower and toilet which was ample for grandchildren aged 8 and 10. They loved it, it was like their own space! Would definitely stay again.

When we walked in the door we were totally blown away - it looked so clean and welcoming. There were essentials provided - washing up liquid, milk, some tea and coffee along with milk and bread, biscuits and cheese! The property contains everything anyone would need for everyday, never mind just a holiday! Dishwasher, washing machine, every cooking utensil you could ever need. Beds really comfortable and the whole place was cozy with a woodburing fire. The views are spec from the windows overlooking Bamaluz Beach and I cried when we left. Highly recommend.

Bamaluz Bay is my favourite beach in St. Ives, and I always harboured a desire to stay there. This property is ideally situated, with all the rooms overlooking the bay. To go to sleep and then to wake to the sound of the waves is really special (there's even a seal who visits the bay every morning. How perfect is that?) The apartment is quite small, but with the whole ocean just outside the window - who cares? The property is clean and fresh, and has almost everything you could possibly need. Basics had been provided, which were very welcome - tea bags, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits, bread, butter, dish-washing stuff, loo rolls. And a vase of daffs on the table was a lovely touch. We came down on the train and are glad we did, judging from some comments in the visitors' book, parking seems to be a major problem. I'd advise taking public transport if at all possible, there is enough to do in St. Ives without needing a car to get around. If I had to be really picky - we'd have loved a board-game or two at the property (it's that kind of a place) and I also wished I'd thought to pack some binoculars, so it would have been great if some had been provided. I am being ridiculously picky here - I really have nothing to complain about. St. Ives itself is lovely as always - my son and his girlfriend tried surfing and had a great time, while more sedately I did a short course at the painting school (brilliant). We love to eat really well when on holiday, and St. Ives doesn't disappoint - we'd recommend (in order of preference) Beach Restaurant, Seafood Cafe and The Loft. All about a 5-minute walk from the apartment. We were all sad to leave our little piece of paradise.

Where to start? The house is beautiful ,the views are awesome, the location is perfect, the beach is twenty seconds away, the air is clean and St Ives is stunning. We loved watching the seals and we saw a pod of Dolphins too. The sea views are to die for and Orange Roofs are friendly and efficient. We come every year to this beautiful place and chill right out. We never want to come home really!

We stayed at this property in August and, although the main streets of St Ives are very busy, once you turn the corner at the end of the Harbour, 3 Seaview Place is a real haven, overlooking the all-year-round dog-friendly Bamaluz Beach. The property is small but well planned. You enter through a stable door to the open plan ground floor with a well-equipped kitchen, dining table for 4 and, at the far end, a lounge area with full length window, giving wonderful views out to sea. When the tide is in, you really feel as if you on a boat! Each day, we saw seals just off the beach and we were entertained by the dogs and children playing on the beach. It wasn't too busy and there were plenty of places to sit when the tide was out. Other beaches were within a short walk as were a great selection of restaurants and lovely shops and galleries. The first floor bedroom and bathroom were lovely, the 'below-deck' room not so good, but fine for our two daughters of 19 and 21. We are not a tall family though and the headroom and beds are possibly more suited to younger children and teenagers. Orange Roofs were very helpful and offered a great booking service with helpful reminders and suggestions. I would recommend both them and the property. We had a wonderful week.

Great location, right on the water and just on the edge of the harbour, so perfect for walking to a nearby beach or along the front for some art galleries, shops and restaurants. The house itself is small but perfectly formed & well equipped too, and our children loved the trapdoor to their bedroom.

Lovely weeks holiday in our favourite St Ives we have been coming for ten years and still love it. The flat is so near the harbour and the view from the window is breathtaking and the sound of the waves so relaxing. The only thing in St Ives is the parking. But we loved everything about the flat so would stay there again.

We like 3 Sea View Place very much. There was everything we needed. We have never lived as close to the water as in this apartment. We could follow the ebb and river from the Windows.

What a lovely house, perfect position with everything St Ives offers on your doorstep. fantastic views of the sea/beach. parking great when loading/unloading as you dopn't block the street :-) .... orange roofs are a great holiday let company, you are in perfect hands. Not 5 stars purely because the bed could be bigger, we like king size !

We had a wonderful stay at 3 Sea View Place, the house has a calming effect as soon as you walk in. The views are to die for and we were captivated by the beach from the minute we arrived. The house was fully equipped for us to cook in which was fabulous and we found the beds gorgeously cosy and slept really well.

Cosy, comfortable, immaculate cottage in a great location, with spectacular cliff/beach view to rear. Staff at OrangeRoofs were a delight to deal with, as was Claire, the masseuse recommended by the agency. Recommended.
