About 3a Sea View Place
You would be very hard pressed to find such a perfect romantic retreat as this in St Ives. It is literally overlooking the sea (or beach when the tide is out) so, come rain or shine, you will enjoy the delights that 3a Sea View Place has to offer.
As it's a reverse level apartment over two floors, you
would think that the best views are saved for the top floor. Well,
we are sorry to declare that the views are equally captivating from
the bedroom and the living area! There are french windows that lead
out from the living room into a small balcony with bistro table and
chairs. A proper bird's eye view! The sea has this magical power
that makes it change colour from one hour to the next. On a calm,
hot day, you would be mistaken for being in the Maldives with it
being emerald and clear. When it's slightly choppy it's the colour
of a beautiful dark blue gemstone. When it's stormy, it's black and
ominous looking but really quite spectacular from your front row
The double bedroom has a Laura Ashley cream and brass bed with a pocket sprung mattress, antique French crystal wall lights, chandelier, feather duvet and pillows and crisp linen sheets, luxury white towels and a flat screen TV with DVD player. From the moment you wake up, draw the curtains and take it all in, you may well feel a sense of smugness of choosing the perfect place to stay in St Ives.
The kitchen doesn't disappoint either with views over to Smeaton's Pier and the harbour. It's also very practical with a mix of Alessi, Cath Kidston and Nigella Lawson accessories, a Belfast sink, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and small dining table that seats four. The Laura Ashley sofa doubles up to be a sofa bed for the third person, there is a flat screen TV and a beanbag to chill out on. If you want to bring along your own music, there is an iPod docking station and DAB radio too.
From a location stand point, you are between two main beaches; Porthgwidden and the harbour beach. The shops, grocery stores, delis, pubs, restaurants, galleries and activity providers are all within a short walking distance of your front door.
If you get stuck on where to go, there are maps and books to help inspire you. There is also an interesting range of local interest books alongside art books and novels to get stuck into!
