Holiday Cottages in Carbis Bay, Cornwall

Pressed against the coast and surrounded by a patchwork quilt of fields, sewn together by rugged Cornish hedges, holidays in Carbis Bay place you in the ideal spot to explore our little corner of the South West.

Close to St Ives, Lelant and Hayle but in an area with heaps of its own character and charm, holiday cottages in Carbis Bay can make the perfect home from home you’ll want to come back to again and again.

Out and about

The crescent of golden sand at Carbis Bay Beach stretches a mile along the lapping water’s edge.

Cliffs on either side, bursting with lush plants, provide shelter from the prevailing wind, make the turquoise waters tranquil and give the beach an almost cove like feel. Perfectly suited for swimmers and sunseekers alike, it’s easy to see why this beautiful beach is a Blue Flag award winner.

Booking a holiday cottage in Carbis Bay will set you away from the hustle and bustle while still putting you just a short walk from St Ives. Choose to either take the famous coastal path around Porthminster Point to St Ives or jump on the branch line railway and enjoy its gentle rumble around the headland to arrive in style. Trust us; the views are not to be missed.

To kick back and relax even more, we love to visit The Beach Club Restaurant at Carbis Bay Beach. Here you can enjoy a meal, barista coffees or maybe even a cocktail on the deck (you are on holiday after all!)

Four-legged friends don’t have to miss out on the fun either. A short stroll along the coast path to the east will take you to Porthkidney Sands where your dog can run free year-round exploring the expansive beach and rolling sand dunes.

After an action-packed day you may need some well-deserved luxury and indulgence. Try a visit to the Carbis Bay Spa for a facial or a Lava Shell massage. Lie back and let yourself be pampered with the sound of the waves breaking softly in the distance. Is there any better place to be?

If you fancy some fresh sea air, with panoramic sea views to match, a round of golf at The West Cornwall Golf Club might be just the ticket. Who knows, the awesome setting might inspire a hole-in-one…

What our guests say …

Until we discovered Carbis Bay we used to stay in St Ives. Now we prefer Carbis Bay because we like taking day trips and can always find a holiday home there with a parking space.

I love the walks from Carbis Bay, the coastal path is stunning in both directions, and there are some real treasures to be found by walking inland too. Overall more peaceful than St Ives and the accommodation is cheaper!

The beach is so sunny and sheltered and its still less than four minutes from St Ives by train!

The view to Godrevy Lighthouse from Carbis Bay Beach is simply the best view in the world. No question about it.
