About Number 8 Salt

Number 8 Salt blows you away from the moment you set foot through the front door. In fact, as soon as you drive through the electric security gates and into your two private parking spaces, you definitely get a sense of exclusivity. There is a shared outdoor shower to wash off the sand after a day full of fun and frolics plus your own locked storage area where you can hang your wetsuits to dry and put all of your beach toys from buckets and spades to bodyboards. A wonderful bonus for guests staying at Number 8 Salt is the 4-complimentary passes to St Ives Harbour Spa. If the weather is a bit on the grey side you can luxuriate at the spa for a few hours. We recommend taking advantage of the discount on treatments too! Call the Spa in advance of your stay and get a massage booked in.

Once inside the main building lobby, you get the keys from a key safe and grab the lift to the 2nd floor where Number 8 Salt awaits you and all we can say is be prepared to be wowed! What immediately hits you is the sense of space and style. No expense has been spared in furnishing this elegant apartment to offer pure luxury and comfort. Each room off the spacious hallway gives you a reason to be smug that you'd booked this luxury holiday apartment in St Ives and a reason to post some happy Instagram shots from the balcony with the sea in the background!

The huge master bedroom has a super king-size bed, a stylish wardrobe, a 39'' TV with Blu Ray DVD, the most incredible sea views and an equally spacious en-suite bathroom with shower, his and her wash basins, WC and complimentary luxury toiletries. The Blue Room has a king-size bed, an en-suite with a shower room with more luxury toiletries plus patio doors that open out onto a sheltered patio with outdoor furniture (perfect place to take your morning coffee!). Finally, the twin bedroom is vast and also has patio doors leading to an area to sit out and take in the first daylight. The twin room is next to the family bathroom with a bath, shower over, wash basin and WC. Underfloor heating throughout keeps this holiday apartment at a perfect temperature whatever the weather but feel free to adjust the thermostat if it gets too hot or you need to take the chill off slightly. A separate utility room houses the washer/ dryer and all other items you will need to stay ironed and clean. On top of this, it stores the electric BBQ that can be wheeled out to the balcony and plugged in using outside sockets ready for an evening of tantalising tastes of summer.

Now to the show-stopping open plan living, dining and kitchen. The room boasts attractive pieces of furniture, a Bowers & Wilkinson Zepplin air sound system and a 55" inch Apple TV with Blu-Ray DVD. Off the living area are two balconies; one with a dining set of a table and six chairs for alfresco dining and the other has two tables and four chairs to relax and enjoy the stupendous views. Add to that, exceptionally comfortable sofas, a super equipped kitchen from your waffle maker, Smarter coffee maker, and an electric hand blender right down to the Berndes roasting dish. The views from this room are extensive, reaching across St Ives Bay to Godrevy Lighthouse and the dramatic coastline of Gwithian and Hayle Towans. The balcony is large with a dining set of six chairs and comfy cushions and, on relentlessly hot days, a parasol to offer shade and comfort.

The stroll down into the heart of St Ives town with its choice of eateries and cool places to sip a cocktail is ten minutes at the most with Porthminster beach being your nearest place to bathe and choose from a selection of water sports such as kayaking, Stand Up Paddle boarding and snorkelling (less than ten minutes walk away). If you prefer to surf, Porthmeor beach is a twenty-minute stroll along the harbour front and through the town. Number 8 Salt offers you the chance to dip into the lively, bustling town of St Ives yet retreat to the peace and quiet when you're ready to regroup your thoughts.

Number 8 Salt is a family-friendly holiday apartment providing a travel cot and high chair. Please note, guests must provide their own travel cot bedding and linen.

Access - please note, that there are stone steps that lead from the car park area to the apartment building front door with a lift that can take wheelchair users and parents with pushchairs to the main door. Please note that if there is an electrical failure meaning the lift is temporarily out of action, there is an alternative route at the rear of the property but it does have two steps. There is a lift inside the building but again, service failures can occur and so this apartment may not be suitable for guests who cannot use the stairs in a rare occurrence when the lift is out of action.

What a fantastic, immaculate and special holiday home. There is a huge amount of space but it also manages to be very homely. Comfy beds, luxurious bathrooms, and very well equipped, there was nothing we were missing at all. We were lucky to have a really good weather week so spent many hours on the balcony enjoying the amazing sea view. Fab quiet location but only a short (hilly) walk from town and beaches. I'm sure it has ruined us for all future holiday rentals as it far surpassed anywhere we've stayed before. Thank you :)

Great apartment with everything you need for a holiday in st Ives. With a wonderful sea view, 2 parking spaces, and a location that is both quiet and relaxing but just a short walk to both the beach and st Ives harbour. Would recommend without hesitation.

What a beautiful apartment, from the moment you walk in you are just wowed by the stunning decor and top of the range fixtures and fittings. It was immaculately clean and fresh and had everything we needed for our stay and more. The views from the balcony were just gorgeous. Access to the beaches and to the town are pretty straightforward, either a short walk down to the beach or a short drive to st Ives, just perfect. We loved it so much we have re-booked for the same time next year.

Had a fantastic time in St Ives (as always). The apartment was amazing. The kitchen was fully equipped and lounge/dining area were furnished to a very high standard. All bedrooms and bathrooms were beautifully decorated, the main bedroom felt very luxurious. The apartment had stunning views of St Ives and the sea, we woukd definitely go to the apartment again. Beautiful interior, stunning views, had a fantastic stay.

We stayed at Number 8 Salt for 8 nights with 2 couples with young babies and it was a perfect base for exploring Cornwall. Huge, modern apartment with stunning ocean views and everything you need - well equipped kitchen, washing, comfortable beds and 2 car parks. 10 minutes walk into the centre of St Ives and to a beautiful beach. Our stay at Number 8 Salt in St Ives couldn't have been better and would highly recommend it!

Pleased with the standard of the property only slight issue was the welcome guest pack which was mininal compared to some we have received.Whilst the proerty was generally clean the second patio needed some attention but the poor weather on the day of our arrival may have contributed to this oversight. However we would certainly stay again and we thought was better value than the penthouse suite where we stayed a couple of years ago.

Incredibly high specification in the whole apartment making it feel really luxurious. Very clean, to the highest standard. The orange roofs team are excellent, communicating with you every step of the way. Lovely welcoming touch of a bottle of wine on arrival. Will definitely be returning.

Wow because that's the feeling you get from the moment you see the property. The quality throughout No8 Salt was exceptional so it's very hard to pick out anything in particular but for all four of us, we agreed that the view is stunning. I could write about every room but it quicker to say that the comfort, quality and location is A1.Our stay at Salt will be one that remains at the top of our list for a very long time. Myself and my Wife holiday in St Ives 2 or 3 times a year, this is the first time we have used Orange roofs and we have been very impressed with the service provided, so much so, that we have already booked a property with them for a New years stay.

We were a group golf six mums having a weekend away . The accommodation way exceeded our expectations and we were bowled over by the pure luxury of it . Number 8 Salt is even better than the photos on the web site. Everything you could possibly need, and even more, is in this beautiful apartment. "It's like living in a show home"! The view of the ever changing sea and landscape is fascinating and breathtaking. So many good points make up for the hill in to town which can be challenging on the way back! We loved our holiday, and the Orange Roofs care and attention to detail was outstanding.

Modern, clean lines, quality apartment. Great accommodation,beds and bathrooms, balconies. Superb sea views across the bay, from the harbour to Godrevy. Close to the town centre but quiet and away from crowds and traffic and with private parking. Still as good on our second visit. We love it!

First class apartment, great location, secure parking (a real bonus in St Ives) - immaculate presentation, all necessities provided (ie ample loo rolls, toiletries, dish washer tablets, bin bags etc...) Great welcome pack on arrival . Orange Roofs very easy to communicate with and stay in touch after your booking. All in all a great apartment and would not hesitate to recommend this apartment or booking with Orange Roofs
