About Glas Mor
** 24/10/23 Polite Notice - An apartment two doors away from Glas Mor will be having a kitchen renovation from 03/11/23 until early January. However, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any questions or queries.** Glas Mor is a two bedroom, two bathroom holiday apartment in St Ives specifically in the much-sought after location of Downalong overlooking Porthmeor Beach. It is within the St.Nicholas Court complex so it comes with parking for one car on-site and is moments from the town centre and St Ives Harbour where there is a huge choice of places to eat, drink, shop and relax! Glas Mor is a beautifully finished, modern self-catering holiday apartment with stupendous views over Porthmeor Beach. It is a maisonette apartment and is on the second floor so the views are elevated and expansive. The views are from the dining area, living room and balcony where you can have a bird’s eye perspective of beach lovers (two and four-legged!) as well as surfers and swimmers enjoying the crystal clear sea too.
This apartment is ideal for two couples sharing or a small family wanting to be in the heart of St Ives with beaches within touching distance of their holiday home. It’s the sort of place you can nip back to if you need to grab a jumper or extra provisions for your beach supper. The parking space is very conveniently on-site and so any stress of parking in St Ives is removed. The designated parking space for Glas Mor is within a shared parking area and the height access into the area is 1.9m high.
You walk in through an opaque glass front door which floods the hallway with light, on the left there is the king size bedroom which has a built-in wardrobe, bedside tables with lamps and a Smart TV wall-mounted opposite the bed. Next to the bedroom is the luxury shower room with a large walk-in shower with a rain head and handheld shower head, wash basin and WC. The hallway then leads you into the beautiful kitchen and dining room with the stupendous views. You really do know you're in St Ives when you sit at the dining table and lose yourselves in the rhythmic ebb and flow of the sea. The kitchen has AEG built-in appliances including an induction hob, 60/40 fridge freezer, oven, dishwasher and washer/ dryer. For coffee lovers, a Dolce Gusto machine provides welcome aromas that, together with those sea views, will be the perfect start to a holiday. The kitchen is fully-equipped to self-cater for all meals of the day but we do recommend you book into and try the restaurants of St Ives who all serve fresh, local produce prepared with love. The dining table seats four and there is also a large Smart TV in the dining area in case you can't miss your favourite show whilst on holiday.
Passing an impressive mirror reflecting the gorgeous colours of the sea and beach, a white wooden staircase leads you upstairs into the living room with a three-seater sofa and scatter cushions as well as an armchair. The patio doors lead out onto the balcony that has the most incredible sea and beach views over Porthmeor. A picnic bench offers a perfect place to take your glass of wine to soak up the rays of the day as well as enjoy the last warmth of the day while watching the sky turn from blue to orange and red offering up front row seats to the best sunsets ever! For cosy evenings in, there is a large Smart TV and soundbar in the living room as well as the Sonos sound system throughout the apartment allowing you to play your favourite holiday tunes via Bluetooth.
The second bedroom is off the living room and has a double bed tucked into the corner of the room (so please be aware the bed is next to a wall on 3 sides). There is a bedside table and lamp, wardrobe and Smart TV on the wall opposite. A clever use of space has meant that this double bedroom has an en-suite shower room with a space-saving wash basin and towel radiator, a standard size shower cubicle and WC.
The nearest local shop is just a few minutes walk from Glas Mor on Norway Square selling the essentials as well as local produce. Porthminster Beach is a 10 minute stroll from the apartment passing along the way, Porthgwidden Beach, Bamaluz Beach, St Ives Harbour Beach and also all of the activity along St Ives Wharf, the harbour and Fore Street. If coming in two cars, the nearest public car park to St. Nicholas Court is The Island car park a matter of metres away.
To re-cap: Glas Mor is a two bedroom apartment with two shower rooms. There is a space-saving en-suite to the first-floor second bedroom that has a double bed pushed to the wall on 3 sides. There is a king size bedroom on the ground floor of the maisonette with a shower room next door. The glorious sea views are from the living room, balcony and kitchen/ dining area. There is parking for one car (the parking space measurements are 2.1m in width, 4.95m in length and entrance height is 1.9m max). We are sorry but no pets are allowed at this apartment. Bed linen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels. Free WiFi throughout the apartment.

Stunning view. The appartement was fantastic. The light and design. It was pure luxury. We loved it so much. This is our 8th time in St. Ives and this time we were even more sad to leave because of the appartement. We will come back.

Our favourite holiday home from the last 10 years of holidaying in St Ives! The location and views overlooking Porthmeor beach were stunning. The beach was literally our back garden for the week and we loved being able to quickly nip back up to the apartment for a spot of lunch and an ice cold drink from the fridge! Furnished to an incredibly high standard with all mod cons, we'd definitely stay here again. Parking with a big 4x4 was a little tight but we managed to get in and out several times without trouble.

We had a very nice stay at Glas Mor. The location is
fantastic - overlooking the beach, with wonderful views from both
the kitchen and the balcony off the living room. It's a five-minute
walk to the harbour, five minutes to the Tate St Ives, and there is
a parking spot in the same building. Make sure you check the
dimensions of your car though - it's a small space, so parking is a
bit fun :)
The flat itself is very nice. Every inch of space is used well. There are two small double bedrooms, with a wardrobe in each. One bedroom has a tiny ensuite shower room. The other is right next to the main bathroom, with a large walk-in shower. The kitchen/dining room is open plan and very well equipped. Everything is brand new and high quality.

Wonderful duplex flat right by the beach. Newly renovated with exceptional taste and colour scheme blending in perfectly with St Ives beautiful landscape. Fantastic Villeroy and Boch bathroom with spacious walk in shower. Superb kitchen with AEG and Bosch appliances. Really comfortable upstairs lounge and bedroom. I spent the most perfect week at Glas Mor and it really felt like home.Highly recommended!

Wonderful newly refurbished flat with outstanding views across Porthmeor beach. The entire apartment has been renovated to a very high standard and is a lovely place to stay. It also has Parking which is a huge bonus in St Ives
