Kitchen & Dining

The beautifully finished kitchen sits towards the rear of the house but looks through the open-plan living and dining area towards the sea beyond.

It is exceptionally well equipped, with two built-in ovens, an induction hob, dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

A Nespresso coffee machine is also provided for relaxed mornings at home.

The dining table seats six guests comfortably and sits beside the trifold doors, allowing you to enjoy panoramic sea views while eating together.

Living

The living area is designed around the spectacular coastal outlook.

A large sofa provides plenty of space to relax, while the seventy-inch television and surround-sound speaker are ideal for quieter evenings at home.

Trifold doors open directly onto the lower sun terrace, creating a seamless connection between the indoor living space and the sea views outside.

From the sofa, dining area and terrace, the outlook stretches across St Ives Bay towards Godrevy.

Bedrooms

1 Moonrakers has three bedrooms arranged across the ground and first floors.

The principal bedroom is on the first floor and has a super king-size bed, television, en-suite shower room and direct access through trifold doors onto the upper sun deck and hot tub area. It also enjoys outstanding sea views.

On the ground floor is a flexible bedroom which can be arranged as either a super king-size bed in width or as twin beds on request. This room also enjoys sea views.

The third ground-floor bedroom has a double bed.

Bathrooms

The property has two bathrooms.

The first-floor principal bedroom has an en-suite shower room.

On the ground floor is the family bathroom with a bath and shower over, wash basin and WC.

The family bathroom also has a Bluetooth-enabled mirror, allowing guests to connect their own music while getting ready.

Outdoor Space

1 Moonrakers has two large sun terraces, both enjoying far-reaching views across St Ives Bay.

The lower terrace is accessed directly from the living and dining area and has a large outdoor sofa and side table, with strengthened glass balustrades allowing the view to remain uninterrupted.

The upper terrace is accessed from the principal bedroom and has two sun loungers along with the optional six-person hot tub.

Outdoor lighting makes both terraces particularly atmospheric in the evening.

An outside shower is also provided for rinsing off sand, sea salt and sunscreen before heading indoors.

Use of the hot tub is available for an additional charge of £350 per week or £260 for stays of three to five nights.

On same-day changeovers, the hot tub is emptied, cleaned, serviced and refilled. It can take up to twenty-four hours to reach full temperature, so it may not be ready for use until later on the day of arrival or the following day.

Dog-Friendly

One well-behaved small adult dog weighing no more than 12kg is welcome at 1 Moonrakers.

Guests bringing a dog should provide their own dog bed, towels and throws, and dogs must be well behaved and well mannered within the house and outdoor areas.

It is important that dogs are exercised for toileting reasons off 1 Moonrakers premises and are not encouraged to use the sun terraces. 

Close to Beach

1 Moonrakers is well placed for enjoying Carbis Bay and the wider St Ives coastline.

The South West Coast Path is close by and provides scenic walking routes towards Carbis Bay Beach, Porthminster Beach and St Ives.

Carbis Bay Beach is known for its sheltered waters and sandy shoreline, while St Ives offers a wide choice of restaurants, cafés, galleries, shops and further beaches within easy reach.

Parking

One allocated parking space is provided directly outside 1 Moonrakers.

From the parking area, approximately fifteen steps lead down to the front door.

The steps have retaining walls to either side which can provide some support when descending or climbing.

Access

1 Moonrakers is arranged over two floors.

The kitchen, dining and living areas, two bedrooms and the family bathroom are on the ground floor.

A staircase leads to the first-floor principal bedroom, en-suite shower room and upper sun terrace with hot tub.

Approximately fifteen external steps lead from the allocated parking space down to the front door.

Guests should therefore be comfortable using both external and internal stairs during their stay.
