About 6 Sunnyside
This self-catering apartment in St Ives has arguably some of the best sea views one could wish for on holiday. Sunny by name, sunny by nature, this top-floor St Ives holiday apartment in the most photographed corner of the town is perched on the edge of the harbour beach and you quite literally have a bird's eye view of St Ives harbour stretching across St Ives Bay to the iconic Godrevy Lighthouse. One allocated parking space on Beach Road is provided for the duration of your stay at this wonderful apartment taking all the stress out of parking in St Ives!
To access 6 Sunnyside, you have a couple of flights of stairs to climb; some steps are external and some are covered. Once through the front door, the apartment spans gloriously across one level. The living area is light and spacious and comfortably accommodates four guests with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a sofa bed option for a fifth person, but this would ideally suit a small adult or child. The breath-taking sea views will stop you in your tracks as you enter the living room and a bonus is both bedrooms also give you ocean seascapes across St Ives Harbour. What better way to wake up in St Ives, than overlooking one of the most photographed places in the UK? At the front of the apartment, facing the sea views, is the living room with a dining table, a double bedroom and a small balcony. Along the hallway is the second bedroom that can be either a twin bed configuration or super king bed and then at the rear of the apartment is the kitchen and two bathrooms; one of which has a bath, shower and houses the washer/dryer. The second bathroom has a shower.
The galley-style kitchen again does not disappoint on the views and we think that nothing gives more motivation to whip up a storm than doing so whilst overlooking the St Ives Harbour. If you're lucky you'll even see the fresh fish being landed on the pier! You have everything you'll need whilst cooking at 6 Sunnyside as the kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessities for a self-catering holiday. There is also a dishwasher at the property for you which is always a positive after making a wonderful meal! There is an under-counter integrated fridge with a freezer compartment and the owners also provide an additional small fridge with a freezer compartment for any extra holiday food and drink space! The oven is integrated with an induction hob as is a neatly stored microwave. The kitchen isn't huge as you will see but is a perfect place to prepare meals if you decide to eat in. There are so many wonderful restaurants to choose from within a very short walk of the apartment so cooking is not mandatory!
6 Sunnyside is furnished and finished to offer you and your loved ones an instant and warm welcome with a comfy sofa in the living area and two recliner chairs positioned perfectly to take in the ever-changing scene of the busy St Ives harbour beach. The recliner chairs are perfectly positioned for a day of gazing out of the window at the remarkable views so you may find it difficult to leave them! If you fancy watching a film of your choice on catch-up or if you have a Netflix or Amazon account, the 32'' Smart TV means you can log in and do exactly that. On those crisp cool mornings or scorching hot summer afternoons, one of the most loved assets of 6 Sunnyside is its small balcony area, giving you an even clearer and close-up view of the beautiful harbour below. Whether enjoying a pre-dinner glass of wine or watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee, enjoying some time on this balcony is sure to be a fond memory of your holiday.
As 6 Sunnyside is located in a central part of St Ives, you are spoilt for choice with amazing restaurants on your doorstep. One of your closest is The Mermaid Seafood Restaurant, just a short walk away. An old favourite in St Ives, popular amongst visitors and guests, provides a fantastic menu with all sorts of fresh seafood. If you're wanting to stay somewhere with a beach simply a few moments from your front door, 6 Sunnyside will not disappoint; St Ives harbour beach is so close, that you will still have sand on your feet when you get to the front door! Fore Street, where all of St Ives' fantastic independent shops and galleries are located, is just a few minutes walk away and is the best spot to go and treat yourself. Both the Tate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth museums are within walking distance from 6 Sunnyside, so it makes for an excellent base for a week of sunbathing (weather dependent!) or a weekend of culture.
A perfect place to have your main holiday of the year or a quick spur-of-the-moment getaway - 6 Sunnyside is worth a visit all year round. A real bonus to 6 Sunnyside and therefore the simplicity of planning your St Ives holidays is having your own allocated parking space on a private drive which is a 5-8 minute walk away from the apartment, on Beach Road (0.4 miles). Please note, the parking space is suitable for most cars but if you have a particularly long car, please check with us if it will fit before booking.
To re-cap, 6 Sunnyside is a self-catering holiday apartment in St Ives that is on the top floor of a building overlooking St Ives Harbour. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms with parking provided for one car on Beach Road. Not really suitable for people with mobility issues due to it being accessed by two flights of stairs.

Lovely apartment with fabulous views across St Ives Harbour. Conveniently located with beaches, restaurants, bars and shops all in easy walking distance. No on site parking so unloading and loading the car, can be a problem. Car park space allocated but it's 15 min walk away. 6 Sunnyside is well-equipped with all the facilities you need and it's furbished to a high standard. It's up two flights of stairs but they're not really a problem. Would definitely stay there again.

Sunny side is a wonderful cottage to stay in. It's got everything you will need including a washer/ dryer combination witch is a bit unusual in a cottage in the UK. The view is unbelievable and location right in the center of St.Ives. It's important that future renters realize there's two sets of steep steps to the door of the cottage and if you are driving also be aware that parking is half mile away.

This is our second stay at 6 Sunnyside in a few months. The views of the harbour are not to be beaten, and the apartment is very comfortable and light. Would highly recommend.

Everything about the apartment was really lovely; great views; well equipped throughout and beautiful aesthetically. The whole process of checking in was simple and so was arranging the free parking slot. We had a fantastic week and will definitely be back!

We couldn't get enough of the perfect harbour view from this flat. It was hard to drag ourselves away from watching the fishing boats, changing light and weather, tide levels, and even the odd seal! The flat was really comfortable, with everything we needed, and in the perfect location. Nicely decorated, although it would be better without all the seaside nick-nacks, which just get in the way. We'd definitely recommend it, in fact we've already booked another stay there.

This flat is very well appointed, there is little that could be improved on. The bed we slept in was extremely comfortable, there is ample storage space, even an extra fridge and a recycling bin! The kitchen is very well designed and the lounge has a very comfy sofa and two stunning mid century style armchairs that point towards the harbour. The light levels are such that the white walls, tasteful understated decor and artefacts make it feel authentically Cornish without being twee. If we could we would rebook year after year, it's worth the money.

The view from 6 Sunnyside has to be the best in St Ives. Having stayed at Seafever we knew this property would be of a similar standard. In terms of improvements we would have liked a bigger washing airer & a few less Knick knacks to enable us to put our things out, however this is being very picky! All in all a great week!

Loved the idyllic setting of 6 Sunnyside with views across the bay and the added enjoyment of watching the boats come and go in the harbour. Ideal location, especially if you want to avoid those steep hills every time you leave the flat. Even though in our 80s we managed the stairs okay. The flat was very well equipped with everything you need for a stay. We would definitely return.

We had a great stay at this property. Wonderful view and very handy for the town. Very good communication from Orange Roofs after our original booking had to be changed through no fault of theirs due to a pandemic related kerfuffle. In particular, everything inside the flat was good quality (linen/crockery/furniture) and was clean. We spent a lot of time in the lounging chairs by the window! Looking forward to returning in the future.

What a beautiful roomy apartment 6 Sunnyside is. Lovely decor , plenty of comfortable seating and having 2 bathrooms was awesome. Orangeroofs is an excellent company with high standards and their regular updates and information can't be faulted. What a good parking space too - a lovely walk along Beach Road with no steep hills (which I really appreciated). We decided we would definitely come back to this ideally situated and beautifully presented apartment.

We stayed at 6 Sunnyside in December 2020. Superbly appointed with magnificent views over the harbour and St Ives with added bonus of a parking space 10-15 minutes walk away. Apartment was well equipped with everything we needed and more. It was spotlessly clean on arrival so a huge shout out to those who do this. The welcome pack of a cream tea, milk, coffee and sugar was most welcome. As soon as you walk into the hallway your eyes are drawn to the view and it was perfect to sit in the window watching the sea even of an evening looking out at the lights reflecting on the water. We were lucky enough to have the whole block to ourselves so was totally peaceful. Billie at Orange Roofs was extremely helpful from start to finish and communication is spot on with the app for property details and access information. I have to say this company certainly gives other local agencies a run for their money and we shall not hesitate in booking this property or indeed with Orange Roofs again.

Flew 21 hours from Australia just to stay here at No 6 Sunnyside. Well worth the trip, weather great, accommodation superb, views to die for!!!
