About In-between Cottage

There is nothing in-betweenish about this wonderful St Ives holiday cottage found in the heart of the town. In-between Cottage is a charming slate-clad traditional dog-friendly holiday cottage simply moments from beaches, shops and restaurants. Its position on the cobbled lane of The Digey (pronounced die-gee) means, as soon as you step out of your front door, you are in the heart of St Ives! Porthmeor beach is reached by walking to the end of the cobbled lane in one direction, and in the other, shops, restaurants, cafes/ delis, galleries and the harbour in the other. You are seconds away from whatever is going on in this busy and award-winning harbour town. The holiday cottage accommodates a family of up to five with the twin bedroom offering a trundle bed for a third (small) person. The king-size master bedroom has its own en-suite and there is a family bathroom with a bath and shower over.

Everything about In-between Cottage will charm you from its porthole front door to the exposed and tasteful woodwork, the quaint individual window panes and the tardis-like capacity to welcome couples and families alike. This St Ives self-catering cottage maintains its character, as well as offers a modern and warm welcome to those who stay here. Walk through the front door and you enter into a hallway that leads you to the place where you can drop your shoes, coats, body boards, wetsuits, windbreaks, pram, and dog leads.. every home needs one of these spaces! The kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances as well as a dining table that seats five. For the family who loves cooking on holiday, the hob is induction and it has an electric fan oven and integrated microwave. There is ample space in the tall fridge/ freezer to store delicious Cornish delights and there is a dishwasher to clean it all up afterwards. The kitchen also houses the washer/ dryer.

Also on the ground floor is the living room with an electric flame effect fire, an L-shaped sofa, a small desk and a Smart TV. Upstairs is the twin bedroom that has two 3ft single beds and a further single bed stored as a trundle bed which can sleep an extra third small person. There is plenty of space for folded clothes and hanging space so bring the holiday wardrobe for all occasions! A 32-inch wall-mounted Smart TV will also keep those who stay entertained. Along the landing is the family bathroom that also has a character of its own, with a bath, shower over, wash basin and WC. Finally, the master bedroom has a king-size bed, chest of drawers, 32-inch Smart TV and its own en-suite with shower, wash basin and WC. The bedroom overlooks the quaint Hicks Court just off The Digey.

There is a bench outside the cottage which means you can sit and watch the world go by and enjoy the sights and sounds of happy holidaymakers. If you arrive back to the cottage sandy and salty from a day's frolicking on the beach and in the sea then fear not, at the rear of the cottage is a warm shower where you can wash yourselves and a hose pipe for your beloved dog, this way you avoid taking the beach indoors with you!

In-Between Cottage also comes with an allocated parking space provided for you at St Ives Rugby Club. Once your car is unloaded of your holiday cases, the Rugby Club is a couple of minutes short drive away and a 20-minute downhill walk back to the cottage. The walk may feel a big uphill to the car for those not used to hills. For those of you who want to grab the car and explore the rest of Cornwall, there is a super convenient shuttle bus that runs between The Tate Gallery St Ives and the Rugby Club that costs approximately £1.50 each way. This service runs during the busier months of St Ives.

Speaking of The Tate Gallery St Ives, the St Ives School of Painting and many other independent galleries are all within a short stroll of In-between Cottage. At the harbour, you have a choice of boat trips and fishing experiences, try your hand at Stand-Up paddle boarding or simply sit on the beach or benches along the harbour with a delicious beverage or ice cream and watch the world pass you by. At Porthminster beach you can try kayaking safely and the renowned surfing Porthmeor beach has a surf school as well as a beach café (which is so much more than any old café!) and, between April and October, West Beach serves breakfasts, lunches and pizzas plus a new fish bar serving a mouth-watering menu as well as a cool, tempting jug of Pimms!

Up to two well-behaved and well-mannered dogs are very welcome at In-Between Cottage, all we ask is that you let us know the age and breeds of your dogs (even their name so we can make friends with them too!). We also ask you to travel with their crate (if they are used to one) and dog beds and towels so they make themselves at home just as much as you. Remember they aren't allowed upstairs or on furniture in their holiday home even if they're allowed at home! All bed linen and towels are included as is WiFi but please do bring your own beach towels, travel cot or high chair as these are not provided.

To re-cap, In-Between Cottage is a fabulous St Ives holiday cottage in the heart of the town. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It accepts a well-behaved dog and takes the stress away from finding a parking space by providing one at St Ives Rugby Club (a 20-minute walk from the cottage so we recommend using a taxi and avoiding the narrow roads!). Please note, In-between Cottage is the first two floors (ground floor and first floor) of a 3-storey building. Above the cottage is an apartment which has a separate entrance.

This cottage is outstanding! It's location is superb and inside the cottage, there is everything that you need. The individual items are all of high-quality and everything works. The living room is extremely comfortable and on cold nights, warm up beautifully. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are of high-quality With showers that are similar to those that we often have at home! In addition, the service from the company was outstanding. Thank you

Well appointed cottage with everything we needed to enjoy our holiday and it was also spotlessly clean. It is right in the heart of St Ives and the beach and shops are only a minute away.

Loved this cottage it was perfect. Very well equipped and clean. Car parking space an added bonus in St.Ives although it is a distance from the property there are not a lot of parking options available in peak times. Would re-book an recommend to anyone. First time booked with orange roofs will not hesitate to use them again.

We have just had a brilliant week staying at in-between cottage. The accommodation its self is fantastic. Very modern, well equipped kitchen with everything you would ever need. The decor has a lovely sea side feel to it also. The location of in-between cottage couldn't have been better for us. Its a 2 minute walk away the from the harbour where you will find bars, restaurants, ice creams etc. leaving the property and turning left would have you at porthmeor beach in 2 minutes. We stayed beginning of Aug, if the weather is clear at night you must go there to watch the sunset. It really is a beautiful place. If I was to be critical about anything it would be the parking space provided with the accommodation. It's at the st ives rugby club. It's a 15 min walk from accommodation to the rugby club but it's all up hill. Plan your luggage drop off and departure. I would highly recommend and will be booking again myself if we decide to return.

We had 4 nights stay at In-between cottage and EVERYTHING was great! The house is very clean, well decorated, the towels and bedding all good quality, the kitchen is also very well equipped. The location was perfect for walking around the town. You have the sea a few minutes one side and the harbour a few minutes the other. We will definitely be back - Thank You!

Great attention to detail in the property with quality fixtures and fittings throughout. Both bedrooms were spacious and bathrooms well fitted. Smart TV in all rooms was very good. Kitchen was finished to a high standard and some lovely welcome gifts were a nice touch, including a delicious saffron cake. The check in and check out is very simple with the use of the app and key safe. Location was great in the middle of the town; though quite noisy late at night and early in the morning from people and traffic flow

InBetween cottage was perfect in location, comfort and facilities. Loved walking the dog on all the fabulous beaches. The booking process was simplicity itself and the support we received from Billie, Torrie and Charlie before and during our stay, was excellent. Thank you, we would love to stay again.

Our family of three all loved this little retreat, such a great location and the warm shower outside the back door was brilliant for those sand-covered returns from Porthmeor beach (which is great for surfing/bodyboarding and only 150 metres walk away. ) Wetsuit hanging space was a huge bonus. And the property is seconds from the shops of Fore Street too, but without the noise. We dropped off our luggage then drove to the parking space, but unless you love driving St Ives' narrow streets I'd recommend getting a taxi to take you and luggage from the parking space to the property, only costs £4 and well worth it. Everything provided, great furnishings/decor/comfy beds. We all agreed we would stay here again!

We thought that the In Between cottage was excellent. The decor was lovely and everything we needed was provided. The location is extremely convenient and we were within easy walking distance of shops, the beaches, Tate, Barbara Hepworth and the restaurants of St Ives. The only negative was the difficulty of parking close by as St Ives was so busy even in October outside school Holidays. We were grateful to have the designated Orangeroofs parking space at the rugby club but that is 15/20 minutes walk away up hill.

The cottage is in an excellent location on The Digey, midway between Fore Street and Porthmeor beach, perfect for watching the world go by. It is beautifully decorated and has all of the amenities you would need. The beds are comfortable and having an en suite as well as a bathroom is a bonus. The whole process, from booking to checking out was easy and well managed by orangeroofs.

We loved staying in In-Between Cottage. The owners have thought of everything and we were left needing nothing at all! Wonderfully furnished with clear attention to detail, the cottage allowed us to rest between being out and about in town. In-Between is perfectly placed to explore St Ives being between all the beaches, restaurants, galleries and shops. At night as the footflow slows, the outside chair is a great spot to just sit and wind down. All in all if you want to be in the middle of the action in a quality cottage, then this is the cottage for you.

In-between cottage we are in love with you!!! I looked at this cottage on line over and over wondering if to book and finally did and my goodness am I glad we did. I adore it. It is beautifully decorated and everything seemed brand new and spotlessly clean. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, it was ideal for our family. The position is PERFECT, whichever way you step out you can be at a beach in 3 minutes, the shops and restaurants in 30 seconds... it's my 3rd time to st ives and this is where I'll re-book. I slept so well, the bed was comfy the shower was great, its just really was great. I really don't have anything negative to say, only a couple of things could have brought utter perfection and that is: A soap holder in the en-suite shower. A full length mirror in the main bedroom (there is one in the 2nd bedroom) Some hooks on the bathroom doors as an extra place to hang towels etc. And that's it! Everything else was perfect. Been as you are so central parking is an issue... we had our spot at the rugby club which is a steep hill if walking, we used to get a taxi from bumbles tea rooms on the day we wanted the car and it was about £5, but we only needed the car a couple of times so really wasn't an issue. The little gifts left was such a lovely touch, biscuits, cake, eggs, butter etc.. I kept telling anyone who would listen how happy I was to be there!! Don't hesitate to book this beautiful little cottage, it's divine x
