Pencroft is a beautiful home, inside and out.
Tucked back in a peaceful corner of Carbis Bay, you are just a 10 minute walk from Carbis Bay beach, 5 minute walk to the quaint train station where the next stop is St Ives, or within a short walk to the nearest supermarket and local shops. Carbis Bay also has a few restaurants including the relaxing gastro bar on Carbis Bay beach where the views over dinner are unrivalled. What better way to start your holiday than finding parking right outside your holiday home too! A gravel drive with space for two cars offers the super convenience of unloading your holiday luggage just moments from the front door... If you are planning on a holiday with extended family, Porthia next door to Pencroft is also available to book via Orange Roofs.
With an enclosed private south-facing garden, a nearby small running stream and huge ancient tree housing local birdlife and offering welcome shade in the afternoon, you will feel you've booked into a retreat for some well-deserved rest. Trifold doors lead from the living room onto a decked terrace and into the land-scaped gardens. Beyond a small gate, you can move from the landscaped gardens into a quiet lawned area under some magnificent trees to perhaps lay a blanket for a private picnic! You ought to rest assured that if you bring along your dog, the garden is well-fenced and even the best houdinis would be challenged to find a route out (we do recommend keeping watch though!).
Inside you have a fresh and welcoming living area designed to encourage complete ease and relaxation; a place to come and feel instantly at home. Being open plan, there is a true sense of togetherness while on holiday, whether it's cooking and eating together while a wood burner crackles in the chillier weather or spilling out from the dining area onto the sun terrace listening to your favourite tunes in the sunshine. The Smart TV will allow you to catch up on programmes you've missed while enjoying the good weather or snuggle down to watch Netflix with the cosy fire.
The kitchen is well-equipped with high quality AEG appliances. Spoil yourselves with a KRUPS coffee first thing while the croissants warm in the oven. Don't worry if you make a feast for 6, there is a dishwasher to do all the hard work for you! An integrated washer/ dryer is available if you need to do a quick clothes wash too. As well as the kitchen, living and dining area being on the ground floor, there is a downstairs cloakroom so no need to keep nipping upstairs.
On the first floor, you get a taste of your location by looking out the full length window on the landing over rooftops to the coastline to Gwithian Towans. You can practically pen the route you walk to Carbis Bay beach! There is the modern family bathroom, twin bedroom, bunk bedroom as well as the master bedroom with its own large private balcony. There is ample hanging and storage space for the holiday luggage as well as a TV being set up in the master bedroom to avoid squabbles over what to watch of an evening.
You are welcome to bring along your dog on holiday with you and the only house rule is spend as much time on Porthkidney Sands as possible seeing as it's a dog friendly beach all year round (oh and please don't leave your dog alone in the house if you head out for the day or evening).
Pencroft does not have a travel cot or high chair but these can easily be arranged at a small hire cost on request.

Had a lovely week staying in this property was everything we wanted and needed. Well equipped and really liked the little wildlife garden which my nephew and dog loved. Would book again in the future.

Having just left this property after a week of glorious sunshine, we found the house and the neighbours delightful. The house is well presented, spacious and well equipped. The wifi is great (very important with four young people in the party) and the area is very safe and secure. The driveway and parking are a little tight - having said that, we were in a VW transporter Kombi and had no issues. And whilst we were holidaying the telegraph pole that made it a little restrictive was moved to the edge of the boundary making life much easier! St Ives is very easy to get to from the house, with the train station nearby, or you can drive and park fairly easily at this time of year in the station car park. In conclusion, great holiday, great house, great time!
