What’s open near where I’m staying?

If you're visiting out of the peak summer season and you're worried about what is and isn't open near your holiday cottage, have a quick read to see all your great options!

Below, we will hopefully give you a synopsis of places you can expect to find opening in the upcoming weeks. We’ll also attach individual links where possible so you’re able to read in greater details about the measures they will be taking to keep both you and them safe following the ease of lockdown measures.

St Ives


Almost all establishments in St Ives stay open for 12 months of the year, giving you somewhere wonderful to enjoy delicious food, by the sea, all year round. Whether you’re looking to cosy up around a wood burner for a quiet meal or come for celebrations, there’s a huge range of places open in St Ives. Below are just a few of our favourite!

Visiting St Ives out of the peak weeks leaves with you with lots of space for exploration and adventure. The beaches are clear and the views breathtaking. There’s nothing we can recommend more than dressing for the weather and bracing the outdoors. There are of course, a lot of lovely other things to do in St Ives so be sure to take a look:

Hayle is not to be slept on! This vibrant Cornish town is just a stone’s throw from St Ives and offers some pretty special places to enjoy, all year round. Whether you’ve braved a winter surf and your looking for some food or just an amazing takeaway coffee, the places below have got you covered:

Porthleven is hot off the press with an array of amazing eateries that have become hugely popular in Cornwall. The beautiful harbour is a treat within itself but with these fantastic restaurants open all year round, you won’t be short of places to choose from!

There are two fantastic gastro pubs in Zennor that are highly sort after, especially in the winter months as they both come with roaring fires (which is an absolute must for those darker nights!). The Gurnards Head and The Tinners Arms need to be on the top of your list when visiting in winter!
