About 1 The Coach House
In light of the COVID-19 virus, we want to reassure you that this St Ives self-catering property is disinfected (hard surfaces and soft furnishings) after each guest stay. Please note that until we can resume normal service, check in time is 5pm and check out is 9am. This superbly fitted out, bright duplex apartment promises you a luxurious and restful stay in St Ives. 1 The Coach House sleeps six, has two bathrooms, arresting sea views and hands you the golden nugget of having two parking spaces directly outside the apartment. It doesn’t stop there either, off the super king size bedroom on the ground floor are patio doors to a private terrace where, under the warming glow of the Cornish sun, you can start your day with a coffee made from the Nespresso coffee machine and the morning newspaper while planning what the day will hold ahead. The terrace is equally appealing with a glass of St Ives G&T in the evening sunshine while planning which restaurant to eat at in town!
With a Sonos sound system throughout the apartment, your holiday tunes will add to your happy and relaxed mood while taking in the inspiring turquoise sea views from the first floor living and kitchen area. The trifold doors open entirely to let in the warm sea breeze during those balmy sunny days we get in St Ives or, with a flick of a button, close the Velux blinds and ignite the gas fire for that warm, cosy and romantic ambience. The kitchen is well equipped to provide a hearty meal for the family as well as a dining table to seat up to six. With a Smart TV, Coach House Netflix account, as well as Essentials SKY TV package, your television entertainment is sorted. There is also a selection of board games, jigsaws and playing cards for all ages so inclusive family time can definitely be on the holiday menu too.
There are three bedrooms in 1 The Coach House; a double bed on the ground floor with TV and inbuilt DVD player, a super king size bed (that can also be split into two singles), with access to the terrace and wall-mounted Smart TV. On the ground floor, in between the two bedrooms, is a shower room with WC, wash basin (and mood lighting too for the romantic at heart). On the first floor, there is another bedroom with a king size bed with a Smart TV and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower over, WC, wash basin and underfloor heating. There is ample hanging space in all three bedrooms as well as drawers for your folded items.
From the terrace, by going through the back gate, you will find a hose pipe to wash off sandy feet or muddy boots. This path leads you around to the car parking area too. From the apartment, you can access the South West coastal path that leads directly to Porthminster beach in one direction or Carbis Bay in the other. It takes just 5 minutes to get to Porthminster beach following the path down to the coastline. If you prefer walking along the pavement into St Ives town, the walk to the Malakoff takes between 5 to 10 minutes depending how many times you stop to enjoy the view! If you prefer to the take the bus down to the town (or back up if the walk seems too much after a day of sun and swimming), there is a bus stop just a few strides from apartment itself. 1 The Coach House is very conveniently located on the main road into St Ives.
1 The Coach House can be booked alongside 2 The Coach House to accommodate families of up to 10 people. Please enquire directly for more information.

From the moment we booked everything was really easy. The app had all of the detail we could ever need. When arriving at no. 1 coach house, we were stunned, everything is modern, quality and clean. The 3 bedrooms were great, all doubles, 2 nice big rooms and one smaller double. The view from the patio windows is beautiful, I took many photos! The kitchen had everything we needed, washer, dish washer, fridge, freezer, kettle, coffee maker, pots pans etc.. 2 bathrooms both great and modern, showers brilliant and always hot water and plenty of it. 2 parking spaces and we were in walking distance to the beach, the town, restaurants etc. We only drove once and that was to a wonderful local spa. I would 100% stay again. To the owners/managers the only one tiny thing I would add is a soap & shampoo holder in the downstairs shower. It really needs it! But seriously everything else was perfect. Top tip... book restaurants in advance!
