About Treloweth
The meaning of Treloweth in Cornish is ‘the place of gardens’. Windsor Terrace, with its impressive houses in a quiet, yet central position within St Ives, has gardens to the front of the houses as well as sea views and parking which is all within a comfortable walking distance to the heart of the town and beaches of St Ives. This luxury holiday rental is a generously sized and welcoming home which accommodates families of up to 8 into its embrace to enjoy everything that this bustling coastal harbour town has to offer. Book a holiday at this luxury home and you will also benefit from two parking spaces directly outside. There is a garden area to spill out into (please note it is not directly attached to the house, you need to pass your parked cars to access) plus a bistro table and chairs directly in front of the house where you can drink in the sea views and enjoy the sun for pretty much most of the day!
Treloweth has some beautiful period features throughout and the owners have injected bespoke carpentry which makes the home distinctly one of a kind. It has four bedrooms, two of which are ensuite and a large family bathroom. On the ground floor, the space is shared by a large kitchen and, as the old adage goes, it certainly is the heart of the home. It's spacious, light and inviting and we can imagine many happy families or couples enjoying this space and sharing many happy moments here whatever time of day. It is equipped with an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, coffee filter machine and so much storage space that will satisfy any gannets in your family; fear not, there is ample larder room! There is a utility area with a washing machine and tumble drier which also houses the essential hoover and mop and bucket too. Double doors lead from the kitchen through to the living area which has a huge, super comfy sofa facing a wood burner and TV with a basic SKY TV package as well as an additional sofa in a chill-out zone where you can relax, knees tucked up, with a good book listening to your favourite tunes via the Marshall Acton Bluetooth speaker. A large bay window with high ceilings looks out across the rooftops to the sea and Godrevy lighthouse, so you may choose to simply lose yourselves to the view and daydream away.
There is a cleverly hidden downstairs cloakroom that is just off the kitchen and, if you follow the traditional tesselle tiled hallway, you get to a staircase that takes you upstairs to the first three bedrooms and the family bathroom. The front master bedroom has beautiful sea views, high ceilings and a space-saving design for an ensuite wetroom and wardrobe area. The king-size bed is bespoke and handcrafted and the bedroom delivers space, light and a real sense of calm. The next bedroom is another king-size bedroom again with bespoke carpentry for shelving and hanging space. Along the hallway is the family bathroom that has twin shower heads, wash basin, bath and WC. The next bedroom on the first floor is a twin bedroom, it too has some wonderful bespoke carpentry that creates a mezzanine almost like a bow of a ship. Due to safety restrictions, the mezzanine is not for guest use. Hand-built wooden wardrobes, ensuites, hanging rails and wall murals all add so much inimitability and individuality to Treloweth that you will be wanting to know who the talented carpenter is!
The top floor has a Vispring double bed and an ensuite wetroom which has been expertly crafted into the loft eaves. A Cabrio Velux offers birds-eye sea views above the St Ives orange roofs and we imagine family members squabbling about who gets to sleep in this bedroom as it offers a sanctuary away from it all whether you want to curl up and read or put the TV on for your own personal viewing choice.
Treloweth has on-site parking at the front of the property for two cars. The area to park in its entirety is 4.9m wide x 5.4m deep.
Treloweth is just a 5 minutes walk from either the heart of St Ives along the shop-lined Fore Street or the water's edge of St Ives Harbour. You are also just 5 minutes from the infamous surfing beach of Porthmeor (be warned, you need to walk up a steep hill first!) and 10 minutes from Porthminster beach where you can hire kayaks or try your hand at Stand-Up paddleboarding. You can explore all 5 of St Ives' beaches on foot easily, as well as visit The Tate Gallery, Barbara Hepworth museum, the RNLI Lifeboat House and Porthmeor School of Art too. In fact, even though you have two parking spaces, you really have so much on your doorstep within walking distance, you may not even explore further afield. There are many restaurants in St Ives ranging from vegan to seafood heaven. You have a choice of takeaways from pasties to paella and during the summer months visit West beach on Porthmeor for one of their delicious pizzas and watch the sunset from the West.
Considering you have two parking spaces, we recommend exploring the rest of Cornwall. You have North Cornwall which boasts fabulous surf at Hayle and Gwithian Towans, and South Cornwall is known for the restful Helford estuary and the boating fraternity and tropical gardens such as Glendurgan or Trebah. Perhaps go further West and enjoy the dramatic backdrop of Land's End and the gorgeous white sands of Sennen Cove. Visit the Minack Theatre to watch some outdoor theatrics and you may spot a dolphin in the bay too! You cannot beat the crystal clear water of Porthcurno beach or, if you drive to the other extreme end of Cornwall to the Lizard, you simply have to visit Kynance Cove with its breathtaking beauty.
Please note:
There is a covered space accessed via the garden that the owners of Treloweth are happy for you to use to store surfboards, bikes, kayaks etc but you do so at your own risk.
All bed linen and towels are provided. Beach towels are not included. One small to medium dog is welcome at Treloweth. If you need a travel cot or high chair, these are not provided so please contact Star Linen hire in St Ives who can provide these for the duration of your stay and deliver them directly to the property.
To recap, Treloweth is spacious St Ives self-catering accommodation in St Ives and is a short walk from St Ives Harbour and town centre. It has four bedrooms and three bathrooms as well as a ground floor cloakroom with WC. It accepts one well-behaved and well-mannered dog. It has a garden which is not directly attached to the house but just a few seconds away opposite the house. There is parking for two cars directly outside the house.

We enjoyed our stay at Treloweth The house was clean and well equipped. Easy reach of the town and beaches and great walking close by with our dog. An absolute bonus to have parking with the house which made the stay here even better. More than happy with the service provided by Orangeroofs.

We stayed over New Year and we had an amazing time. The
house was just perfect & location was great for ease of getting
into the town.
The beds are super comfy & lounge furniture is
great.
Very well-organized kitchen, although I don't like an
electric hob - I did get used to it.
An absolute bonus is that you get two parking spaces as this
meant we could unpack easily & on a couple of occasions drive
out of St Ives, as parking is usually like gold dust.
Would 100% recommend it & would 100% come
back.

This was our 4th October visit to St Ives and Treloweth was easily one of the best houses we've stayed in. Perfectly located for town, Porthminster Beach and surfing at Porthmoer, it's in an ideal location. It had plenty of room for our party of 8 and two dogs, with a massive kitchen and Cousy lounge. Also a mention for Billie at Orange Roofs , whose communication before and during our stay was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here and we wills definitely be looking to again.

Great house, well equipped, spacious and excellent
location in St Ives for easy access to all amenities. Our only
constructive feedback would be to look at improving the garden
area, as it's not currently not very inviting or
accessible.
Excellent service from Orange Roofs who proved incredibly
helpful and responsive to our needs. Clear information supplied via
the app and through direct comms on arrival and
department.
We will definitely look to book with you again. Thank you for
a lovely holiday!

Superb visit. Our second time in Treloweth. This time we brought friends with us and they loved it too. It's a perfect house for socialising and relaxing. You name it. The views are superb, and the parking for two cars a real bonus. Inside the house it gives and gives. It is a classy house. Many nice touches after an extensive revamp. Then the cool pad. Nice artwork, calming colours on the walls, great furniture. Plus there are guitars. Always a bonus. In short - pretty fabulous.

Our second time booking with Orange Roofs and once again we were not disappointed. The booking process, communication and friendliness of the staff was brilliant. Treloweth was perfectly located with parking for two cars, those who have visited St Ives will know that parking can be tricky at times, so having the private spot was amazing. The house was stunning, beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and equipped for a eight, there's loads of room to entertain or just relax after a busy day touring the surrounding area. The house is only a five minute walk to the hustle and bustle of the centre, although close you feel far enough away to escape if you prefer a more chilled evening. The area at the front was perfect to sit down with a cold beer and look out over the rooftops, I just wish I was back there now. Highly recommend this property, will definitely be back.

Beautiful house with everything you could want included. Lovely sea view from front of property. All rooms are very spacious. The only thing I'd say against it is the steep hill and tight entrance in and out if you have a large car, but the parking does have 2 very large spaces. If you have mobility issues think again very steep steps up to properly . Never used the garden that's included opposite the front of the property due to the steep stairs going down. To be quite honest the view of the sea on the beautiful patio out the front, is a little sun trap. This has a table and chairs sitting 4 and a bench is a far better place to enjoy a drink and a meal and enjoy the view.

Treloweth is a beautiful house, with plenty of "wow" factor. It was very big and bright, with lots of space for all of our family. Interiors and furnishings have been chosen with a careful eye to create a really stunning home. The website photos don't do it justice - it really is quit a special place. It is very well equipped and located within easy reach of all the beaches, bars, restaurants and shops. Loved the huge fluffy towels and the range of kitchen equipment. Having the parking space was a great bonus. The local team clearly manage the property really well and we had a really comfortable and enjoyable stay and would love to return.

Loved this house. We've stayed in many holiday homes over the years and this was definitely one of the best. Spotlessly clean, modern but interesting decor, great space, well-equipped. Great to have parking space and outdoor area for our dog. Front terrace was a real suntrap, so enjoyed our morning cuppa out there! Great central location in St Ives, but still quiet and peaceful.

This traditional house with its mix of original and modern features and furnishings makes a perfect base for a family holiday. Great location for everything St Ives has to offer. Sea views for that morning coffee and spectacular roof feature to take in the sea air and views. Parking for two cars is bigger than average for St Ives. We would definitely book this property again.

Our 5th visit to St Ives and possibly the best house we've rented yet. Good for groups -,plenty of living space, bathrooms and 2 car spaces. Well located close to the town centre but sufficiently elevated to provide a quiet location and views over the town and bay. We would definitely stay at Treloweth again.

Treloweth sits on a steep hill but the views from this property are magical. The house is beautiful, perfectly laid out and full of all the holiday essentials you need. It is bright and clean with spacious rooms and ingenious ideas. We loved this house. It is only a 10 minute walk to the harbour and 10 minute walk to the beach. Not for the faint hearted tho as these are very steep hills, by the end of the week we knew we had done them. St Ives is wonderful, our advice is to prebook restaurants as these get filled quickly. We unfortunately had our bookings cancelled due to lack of staff. We didn't want to leave so would highly recommend this property.

A wonderful house, beautifully converted and very well equipped. Everything you need is there. The heating makes is very cosy and the log burner a wonderful way to spend the evening. The parking is a little tight for bigger vehicles! Orange roofs are very pleasant to deal with!

Excellent house, big enough for 2 families, well equipped with good quality items. Well thought out, great use of space. Very comfortable furnishings. Highly recommend. 5-10 mins walk to the harbour and beach one way and 8 mins walk from back of the house to Porthmeor beach. Location can't be faulted. Located on a very steep hill so not suitable for those with mobility issues. Parking provided, bit hairy getting into the terrace to park due to gradient of road but once done the first time it's ok! Nice welcome pack on arrival and good response from the management company to an issue raised.

A holiday home with lots of character and plenty of space for the family. We found the close proximity (few minutes walk) to Porthmeor beach as well as the cafes, restaurants and shops of St Ives an absolute bonus. The children greatly enjoyed the top floor room which they turned into their own chill out room for TV, drawing and reading. The lounge area is very comfortable with plenty of sofa space, the main bathroom is a great size with two showers and an area to hang wetsuits. The master bedroom is beautifully finished and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed including plenty of space for the kids to play games while we cooked. We loved the bench in the front garden where you could start and finish the day looking out across the Panoramic roof tops of St Ives out to sea. A lovely holiday in a great space.
