About Coastal Seascape
Coastal Seascape is a luxury holiday apartment in St Ives that offers sea views overlooking the St Ives harbour and Godrevy Lighthouse from one direction and the much-loved seascape that washes up to Porthmeor Beach and Clodgy Point’s coastal cliffs neighbouring it, from the other direction. St Ives sea views are an absolute must for many visiting Cornwall, however, at Coastal Seascape, you are offered much more than this as everything has been taken into consideration to ensure you have a warm and comfortable stay. Coastal Seascape is a top-floor apartment within a townhouse with just one other apartment below. The self-catering accommodation at Coastal Seascape is over two floors. The has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a separate living area (where you can sit and gaze over Porthmeor!), as well as a well-equipped kitchen/ dining room. This property also has an allocated parking space provided for the duration of your holiday. The parking space is located just over half a mile away from the property, which is approximately a 15-minute walk away, however, you are able to pull up outside of the property to unload your belongings first.
Whether you're looking to stay at this luxury sea view apartment for a short break out of season or a wonderfully long, relaxed fortnight in the Summer, Coastal Seascape is a great place for you to stay and enjoy St Ives and West Cornwall. The property is a modern and newly converted, traditional, Cornish home. During its renovations, the owners put in every effort to ensure it became a holiday home that offered everything you may need for a welcome and relaxed stay in St Ives. As you enter the property, you walk through a shared entrance to your front door beyond which is a private flight of stairs to the living and kitchen areas as well as two bedrooms and the family bathroom. The kitchen is at the rear of the apartment and is a stylish and light room being well equipped with integrated appliances and a dining table that comfortably seats six guests.
On the same floor, but at the front of the house, you will find the living room. This area offers you an elegant combination of the traditional Cornish granite and modern style. Here you will get to enjoy the expansive sea views this St Ives holiday apartment has to offer, giving you a great place to sit and decide whether it's a beach day in the summer, or somewhere to curl up and enjoy the wild weather in the winter. For that exact occasion, Coastal Seascape has a wood burner, so you're able to enjoy your stay no matter the weather, no matter the season. In the central area of the first floor, you will find the double bedroom, twin bedroom and family bathroom. This bathroom has a bath and shower over, a WC and a wash basin.
To reach the master bedroom, there is a relatively steep flight of stairs to climb (there is a handrail!). This top-floor bedroom provides you with the dual aspect of the expansive sea views, allowing you to gaze over towards Godrevy Lighthouse from one window and the sea from Porthmeor Beach from the other window. The master bedroom has a super king bed (in width only as is 6'3" long) as well as its own en-suite shower room with a WC and wash basin.
Whilst staying at Coastal Seascape, you are just a matter of moments away from Porthmeor Beach, it is a couple of minutes' walk from the front door to the sand. At Porthmeor Beach you will also find one of the most sought-after restaurants in St Ives; Porthmeor Beach Café. This excellent restaurant, perched on the edge of the sand, provides some of the most breathtaking views of the beach, making it a hugely popular destination. However, its biggest focal point is its breakfast, lunch and dinner food, renowned for its excellence paired with great service. To the West side of Porthmeor beach, you will find Porthmeor West and The Fish Shed (open during the summer season). So why not watch a sunset on the beach with a cocktail and freshly served food knowing you are a short walk away from your beds at the end of the day.
The iconic Tate St Ives is also just a few moments walk from Coastal Seascape as is the Barbara Hepworth museum. These are two very frequently visited attractions In St Ives. Thanks to the apartment's location, very near to the centre of town, it is a few minutes downhill walk to reach Fore Street where you will find the majority of the shops in St Ives, as well as the harbour front where there are many cafés and restaurants for you to leisurely stroll by and enjoy the view.
As we have mentioned, Coastal Seascape has an allocated parking space provided for the duration of your holiday at the St Ives Rugby Club. This parking space is located approximately 0.6 miles away from the property, which is approximately a 15-minute uphill walk away. The walk may feel a big uphill for those not used to hills. However, you are able to pull up outside of the property to unload your belongings first. We appreciate it may be slightly more of a walk than a public car park but the owners kindly wish to provide a guaranteed and free parking space for their guests during their stay. If you are bringing a second car with you, there is a St Ives Council car park located just opposite the property. If you are travelling by train, the station is between a 10 to 15-minute walk away and just a couple of minutes in a taxi.
To re-cap, Coastal Seascape offers luxury self-catering holiday accommodation with sea views in a well-sought area of St Ives with easy access to beaches, St Ives harbour as well as shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and galleries. It sleeps six in three bedrooms; one is a super king bedroom, one is a double bedroom and the other is a twin bedroom. It has two bathrooms; a family bathroom between the double and twin bedrooms and an en-suite shower room to the master bedroom. There is allocated parking for one car at St Ives Rugby Club.

Lovely week at Coastal Seascape. V Clean apartment and a lovely welcome pack. As suggested in previous reviews was glad I took a eye mask as curtains or blinds over the shutters would be a fantastic addition to a sunny morning lie in. Felt very spacious with split level. Such a beautiful apartment in a great location.

Brilliant place to stay, very clean and airy with great views across to Hayle and out across Porthmeor Beach. Really handy having the rear courtyard to clean, dry and store wetsuits/bodyboards We stayed as a family of 5, plenty of room and very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The welcome basket was much appreciated.

Fabulous property! Ignore the car park in the front, it has stunning views of the sea from the lounge and upstairs bedroom. Very comfortable and has everything you need. Scrumptious hamper on arrival. So easy, from start to finish and has all details you need covered by orange roofs. Definitely recommend.

A comfortable and stylish apartment in a central position in the harbour area of St Ives. Apartment is immaculately clean and well maintained, as well as being having all amenities you will require for a stay. A two minute wall down a path directly in front of apartment takes you to porthmore beach, and a couple of minutes down barnoon hill takes you to Fore Street and shops then onto Wharf Road and all the restaurants and bars, amazing food and cocktails overlooking the most beautiful sea. Although apartment comes with a parking space, directly in front is barnoon carpark where you can buy a ticket for £26 for a weeks parking (it is a busy carpark though). Beds are comfortable as are the sofas, nice cotton bedding, big, thick fluffy towels and a great log burner for cool evenings. Very well equipped kitchen and great water pressure in showers. It is very quiet by day and night. I would not hesitate to recommend this property for a stay in St Ives.

We had a really wonderful stay at Coastal Seascape over New Year. We are huge fans of St Ives and visit every year. This was our first visit over the Christmas period and we loved it. The property is in an excellent location and has a lovely view of the beach, it was very clean, cosy and comfortable. The wood burner is a great feature for the cold days and the festive decorations were a lovely addition. We have stayed with Orange Roofs a few times now and would definitely recommend.

We loved our stay here from beginning to end. The welcome basket was a delight, especially the Prosecco and the most delicious bread. Every room is beautifully kitted out and so much thought has gone into making the whole place welcoming and comfortable. The location is superb, we were a stone's throw from the Tate and Barbara Hepworth, a beautiful walk to the port and to the centre of town. The walks back up the hill only added to the fun!! The view over the sea is gorgeous. Loved St Ives, the beaches, the town, the shops and restaurants were all fantastic. We had a lovely trip out to Seal Island and a couple of our party went body surfing. So much to do. Also appreciated Orange Roofs' easy, helpful and informative communications. Thank you for everything and cannot wait to come back.

At first thank you very much for the kind welcome by
preparing some food for us on this special Monday of the Queen's
funeral.
We have been absolutely happy in the beautyful and clean
flat. Within some steps it's possible to walk to the beach and the
Old town, very comfortable. We could recommend it to
everybody.

Good location, amazing apartment. So clean and modern. We could not believe how big it was inside for a flat. We will definitely be staying there again!

Absolutely amazing holiday. Apartment was impeccable and clean throughout. Great communication through orange roofs. Views are amazing and quiet place you can't hear anything. Photos do not do justice as it is much bigger in person. Many stairs through out so not overly Elderly or accessible. If I am being picky the master bedroom blind for large window as it has 3 panes of glass and only 1 blind, you are woken as soon as the sun or very bright moon is out. Would recommend a pull down blind from ceiling to cover it all. Beach looks much closer in pictures however it's a massive hill and steps. Parking is very poor, we couldn't understand the smaller ground floor having parking when it would make more sense for the larger apartment to have. I already knew the rugby club is not close as I have Parker there previously, huge hills and not a round the corner. I bought permits but even then this does not guarantee parking. However the apartment throughout was amazing.", fresh and even in very hot heatwave house stayed cool with windows open. Welcome treats on arrival a nice touch, games and Wi-Fi provided also. There is a back door with steps to lower court area.
Orange Roofs comments:
Thank you so much for your review Megan, we are so happy you had a wonderful stay at Coastal Seascape. We have shared your comments about the top floor blinds with the owners and so would hope to work with them to resolve this once the 2022 season has quietened down. The description does say that the parking is at St Ives Rugby Club and that it's uphill. We do appreciate that for some who may not be used to hills, the walk can be tiring. The walk to the beach is no more than 200m from the front door of Coastal Seascape and it is accessed via a path down to the beach and then again a walk back up. I imagine the permits you are referring to are for the Barnoon public car park opposite the property. This is the reason why the owners wanted to provide an allocated parking space for their guests that they can be assured of always getting to and from even in the busy peak weeks as a space in a public car park can sadly not be guaranteed. The parking space you refer to in front of the property does not belong to Coastal Seascape and is owned by entirely different owners so it wasn't really a matter we could control. Ocean Seacsape is the property that owns that parking space and the guest cars are parked in front of their bedroom window.

Loved the property and loved the location. Paid-for parking VERY handy and reasonably priced if you don't fancy the trek to the Rugby Club. Felt welcomed: great info pack with all the info anyone would need. Would definitely recommend.

Our second visit to this property in consecutive years. This is a lovely well-looked after property that more than caters for our grown-up family of 6 adults. We love St Ives and have been visiting for many years and I can highly recommend Coastal Seascape - a comfortable and relaxing space after a long day on the beach or exploring the local area. I can also highly recommend Orange Roofs. They keep you informed and are responsive when you have a query. They were very considerate and proactive with our holiday booked during covid and again this year. Their welcoming basket of assorted goodies is also much appreciated on arrival. All in all 10 out of 10. Thank you

This was our second stay at this superb apartment. It is extremely clean, comfortable and well appointed. It is well located and the view over Porthmeor beach is lovely from the chairs in the bay window. The Christmas tree and decorations made it extra special.

We - wife and I and two teenage sons - stayed during the half term holidays. The accommodation was clean and had everything you needed (although the electric hob was a bit weird!), the rooms were all of a decent size and the beds were comfy. The yard at the back was very handy for cleaning off wetsuits etc. The location is fantastic, 2 mins to the back of Porthmeor beach and similar to Fore Street in the centre of the town. No real gripes but i would suggest putting more blinds/curtains on the master bedroom windows as it was quite bright and would be especially so in the summer. It would be handy to have a nearer car parking spot too, as the the rugby club is quite a schlep, especially in the rain! All in all though, excellent

We love this apartment! It's our second year here and we are already hoping to return next year. The space works perfectly for a larger family and the proximity to the beach is ideal (I tell myself the hill helps me burn off some of my cornish indulgences). My only suggestions for improvement would be an earlier check in (5pm really does feel very late) and a closer parking spot as we end up paying for parking at the car park rather than attempting to schlep our three small children to and from the leisure centre. Other than that it's fab! When can we book for next year?
Orange Roofs reply:
Thank you so much for your lovely review Carrie and we are delighted you love it at Coastal Seascape. The parking for Coastal is at the Rugby Club so is a 10 minute walk away which may have taken less time than going to the leisure centre? I can appreciate having parking opposite would be the ideal but sadly there is a very long waiting list for permits there. 2022 calendar is now open for bookings, so please feel free to secure your holiday online now.

We have just returned from a fantastic week at Costal Seascape. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the interior was beautifully decorated. The location is excellent with a short walk into town or to the beach (Steep hills or steps) and had a fantastic view of the beach. We all spent hours sat in the window looking out to sea and watching the sunset. All rooms are spacious and well equipped. The only thing with the apartment we didn't realise was that there are small sets of stairs in the hall way and open access to two other flights of stairs. This was our oversight but it did mean our toddler had to be restricted to the lounge and couldn't move freely around the apartment. We booked through orange roofs who were very responsive via email and their Instagram account.

The apartment is quite simply gorgeous. Spacious and bright, spotlessly clean with wonderful views towards Porthmeor beach at the front and to the harbour and St Ives bay to the side and rear. It is SO close to the fabulous beach that is Porthmeor and within a five minute walk to the town and harbour, all adding to the most fantastic holiday and the first proper reunion with our family after lockdown. Orange Roofs were a delight to deal with from the get go, head and shoulders above anything else we've experienced before. Booking was a breeze and the information provided subsequently was plentiful and helpful giving comprehensive advice on making the most of our holiday so I can't praise them enough. Huge thanks to the owners, Orange Roofs and the housekeeping team, you have set the standard to which others should aspire

We had a fabulous holiday in our favourite UK holiday destination - we have been coming for over 25 years. Coastal Seascape is a great property for a family holiday (even an all adult family group like ours). The property was well furnished, comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen, and extremely clean - very important as we booked in April, the first week permitted after the winter lockdown. I cannot praise Orange Roofs highly enough. Their communication and customer care was excellent, being extremely supportive and understanding over the covid interruptions, including seamless re-booking and sorting out a car parking issue we had on arrival (through no fault of theirs) immediately we reported it. A wonderful break through a company I am happy to highly recommend.

We were so pleased to return for 5 nights in this beautiful apartment. The apartment has to be the cleanest place we have ever stayed in. The decor is tasteful, comfortable and calming. Everything you could possibly need is provided for you. The view onto the sea at Porthmeor beach is wonderful. It is a quiet street, and an easy walk down into town. Orange Roofs were totally brilliant. I want to move in!! We can not wait to return.

Coastal Seascape is a lovely apartment overlooking Porthmeor Beach with superb facilities, furnished to a very high standard. Rooms were clean and comfortable, with everything you need for a holiday home even down to the hairdryer with diffuser, which impressed my nieces who have curly hair. It's worth mentioning that the stairs up to the attic room were quite steep and narrow with no hand rail in places which were a struggle for my 79 yr old mother. Also the car park space included is a 15 minute walk away and all uphill which is inconvenient if you want to use your car frequently during your stay. All in all though I would thoroughly recommend Coastal Seascape and would definitely stay there again.

What an amazing week. So lucky to have a such stunning blue skies in mid-September and our stay in your beautiful appartment couldn't have been better. A great location, the appartment is furnished and finished to the highest standard and we loved the views. A few highlights of the week include lawn bowls overlooking the beach, the costal path walks and a trip to Carbis bay hotel. Cant wait for another week of oysters, pasties and champagne next year.
