Porthia Penthouse

We had a wonderful stay at Porthia Penthouse, the view of Porthminster Beach was wonderful. The apartment was wonderfully furnished and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The spa/gym passes for the hotel are thoughtful additions, plus the welcome pack was gratefully received. We would definitely stay again!

We loved the apartment. It was very clean, spacious und everything needed is there. We had the top apartment no. 6 and a beautiful view and quiet nights.

Beautiful apartment, location is so convenient for travel, St Ives & Carbis Bay. Decorated to a great standard with all the standard and extras you want when staying in self catering accommodation. We had a truly enjoyable & comfortable stay at the Porthia Penthouse in St Ives and will probably stay again in the future. The apartment was beautifully laid out to maximise the space, comfort and exceptional views from within and on the balcony. Contemporary in style with plenty of light in all areas and meticulously maintained with every useful gadget you could ever need plus the beds and furniture were both comfortable and well proportioned for two people or four.The information provided is accurate and comprehensive and we were doubly warned of the flights of stairs and potential noisy adjacent building work likely to interfere with a peaceful stay. I must say because the stairs were shallow in pitch and the buildingwork unobtrusive, neither of these potential problems were an issue. We are both in our 70's and my wife has a heart condition and we were both comfortable, plus the elevation provided the incredible views over the bay as well as close proximity to St Ives its self with and adjacent parking space big enough for my 5m car. St Ives and the area offers so much all within either walking or driving distance, plus loads of places to enjoy excellent food & especially the quality of the seafood. Orange Roofs who manage the property are the best company we have ever booked through providing comprehensive information, great communication and support, they are truly customer focussed and extremely supportive (Thankyou Ross & Kat). The owner provides not only all you could want, but also quality products and thoughtful decoration that further enhances such a well laid out apartment. The time we spent in the apartment was as enjoyable as the time we spent exploring West Cornwall's beautiful unspoilt treasures, which I believe makes this place weather-proof, giving all conditions great value. Thankyou for a truly memorable stay.

Another great stay at Porthia Penthouse Fell lucky with the weather again from 20/03 to 27/03 . Some super sunny days which makes Cornwall just a fantastic place to be. Apartment was just as great as we remembered back in October. Wanting for nothing in the apartment and Fantastic balcony views over Porthminster, coupled with several early morning sunrises, amazing !! We were a little worried about the building work that was going on on the previous car park by the side of the building but this wasn't a problem to us at all. No weekend work happens and 8-4pm in the week meant by the time we were back home after being out and about we heard nothing at all. Fair play to Orange Roofs as they re-assured us of the working times and told us about the works in advance. Both sons made good use of the Free Gym and Spa passes for Harbour Hotel throughout the week . Awesome holiday awesome apartment Big thanks again Orange Roofs

A fantastic property, with brilliant views and excellent facilities. Our second time staying here and we've already booked for a third. The spa access is a real bonus that keeps us returning too, and our 9 year old loves the Xbox! Apartment living is perfect for families with small children as you're all on the one level, and it has all the equipment you could need. Great communicative from the agent too. Thanks all round. We had a fantastic stay in Porthia Pent house, what a fabulous apartment. The view hits you has you enter wow. The apartment is beautifully presented , clean, warm and everything you need for a fantastic stay. This was the first time we booked with orange roofs, and we will definitely be booking with them again. Everything, from booking to arrival was so smooth and stress free. A wonderful experience. Just returned from a superb stay at Porthia Penthouse in St Ives. Porthia has one of the best sea views that we've had in apartments we've stayed in in both St Ives or Carbis Bay over the past 12 years. On a quiet night with the balcony doors open you can hear the waves crashing on Porthminster. The upshot of the fantastic views though is having to haul the cases and luggage up several flights of stairs and several trips up to the Penthouse. It was worth it tho. The apartment was superbly decorated and had everything you need for a stress and worry free stay. Great 55inch TV with Sky and an Xbox. Cupboards full of games as well. Kitchen was really well equipped with wine fridge and dish washer and all the home comforts. Only thing for me was the coffee machine wasn't a Nespresso one but that's only my personal preference and wasn't a deal breaker cos I bought my own with us !! Beds were huge and amazingly comfortable and everyone had a great night's sleep. Plenty of storage and plenty of Hangers in the wardrobes as well. Plus point. Need to be aware that because it's the Penthouse there are Velux roof windows in both the bedrooms in the apartment that can be noisy when it rains , and it will !! Overall a great stay in a superb apartment with great views and the all important on site parking. Full marks.

Porthia Penthouse is an amazing beautiful apartment, we were attending a family wedding in a hotel nearby. I am so glad we stayed in this apartment. The few stairs you have to go up are worth the view when you get to the top. The apartment was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed and even the treats went down well. The sea views and sunrise in the morning were beautiful. We will definitely stay here again. The communications were clear and replies were quick if we had any questions.

Another wonderful stay at Porthia Penthouse. This is truly an amazing apartment with a fantastic view. Furnished to a high standard and very comfortable. There are approximately 60 stairs to climb to reach the apartment but so worth it. Highly recommended and we will back.

This is the best apartment we have ever stayed in. As long as you can manage the stairs you won't be disappointed. The property is comfortable, clean and very well equipped and the views are amazing. We highly recommend it.

We've just got home after a spectacular stay at Porthia Penthouse, and feel so lucky that we found this place. Firstly, the cleanliness on arrival was pristine, so many times we've stopped somewhere and have been disappointed on the cleanliness, not here. The attention to detail on the furnishings was also so well thought out and at such a high quality. But most importantly, that view and the apartment itself completely exceeded our expectations. You couldn't possibly get a better view anywhere else in St Ives, yes you do have to climb about 60 stairs to get to it but once you are there, you won't want to leave. The kitchen was special to cook in as well and had everything you could possibly need. You cannot put into words how beautiful this apartment is. Thank you to the lovely owners for a wonderful week, a well needed rest and lots of family memories made.

This property has amazing panoramic views over Portminster and towards the lighthouse. Loved sitting on the spacious balcony, sunny until lunchtime and no traffic noise because of its height above the road. The property is airy and light and very comfortable with contemporary furnishings and fully equipped with quality cooking and dining ware. Everything is high quality. We enjoyed using the spa passes at the Harbour hotel. A fantastic stay for us. We would highly recommend. It is at the top of the building, around 58 shallow steps to climb inside to reach this penthouse apartment.

We recently stayed at this Porthia Penthouse and had an amazing experience! The place was clean, spacious, and is beautifully decorated, making it feel like a home away from home. The location is perfect, with easy access to local attractions and amenities. With parking. The owner and Orange roofs was incredibly welcoming and responsive, ensuring that all our needs were met during our stay. I can't wait to return for another visit! Excellent position over Porthminster Beach. Very comfortable apartment with everything you need. This was our second visit to Porthia Penthouse.

We had a fabulous long weekend staying in Porthia Penthouse. From the moment we entered the apartment we were wowed by the sense of space and light. The decor is very tasteful and everything you need for a comfortable stay has been provided. The kitchen was very well equipped with all the essential tools to the all important wine cooler. The views are spectacular over Porthminster Beach and it has the bonus of a parking space outside, essential when staying in St Ives where parking is at a premium. We were amazed at the thoughtfulness of the owner with their welcome pack and thoroughly enjoyed a cream tea on arrival. If you are visiting with children there were so many extras like the many games that they could play, an Xbox and 3 televisions. Ideally situated for the beach, train station and a short walk into town. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here and we certainly hope to return.

This is a lovely apartment in a great location. Clean, smart, well appointed and warm. Having a parking space right outside was very useful. It's only a 10 minute walk into the centre of St Ives from the apartment making it an ideal base for exploring this lovely town. The view over Portminster Beach is wonderful. As others have mentioned, there are 72 steps from the road to the front door, so be prepared for a climb!

Four of us stayed here for Christmas week. What an experience! The apartment, in addition to being beautifully maintained and presented, had been dressed for Christmas including a tree with lights. Lucy, the owner, had also left us an iced Christmas cake, chocolate, a bag of crackers to pull, and a welcome of scones, jam and clotted cream. All of the apartment's furniture, fixtures and fittings are top class, with more than ample crockery and glassware. The views over Porthminster Beach are superb, and we were ideally situated being just a short stroll into the centre of St.Ives, or even for crossing the road to join the South West Coast Path towards Carbis Bay. A big thank you to Lucy, and to the Orange Roofs team, for providing a memorable stay. Highly recommended.

We stayed in Porthia Penthouse for a week in December for my husband's 50th birthday. Orange Roofs were amazing helping me add extra touches to the penthouse to make it extra special. They added balloons that I could send to them directly so my husband never saw anything. Then when we arrived there were birthday cards for my husband and a birthday & Christmas card from the owners with a bag of presents for us. The apartment is out of this world, the view is mesmerising and all the little touches just made our stay unforgettable! Thank you so much for everything you done to help us have the best holiday in St Ives

This is a beautiful and exceptionally clean apartment with a stunning view overlooking Porthminster Beach. It oozed quality. The owner had thought of everything to make our holiday special. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise too - thank you. The management company were excellent with all communication. It wasn't an issue for us but some may find the stairs a challenge as the penthouse apartment is on the top (3rd floor) as there is no lift. Would definitely recommend without any hesitation.

This is one of the best apartments that we have ever stayed in! This was our second visit and will not be our last. The apartment has absolutely everything that you need for the most comfy and relaxing stay, the attention to detail from the owners is fantastic! The views from the balcony and lounge are breathtaking and create the most tranquil space to unwind. We received a lovely gift and card from the owners as a Thank you for rebooking - this was a lovely gesture. 100% recommend to anyone considering staying here, you will not be disappointed. One side note to mention is the stairs up to the apartment - these definitely require a level of fitness!

A return visit for us to Porthia Penthouse and it won't be the last. A well equipped property with wonderful views of Porthminster beach and over to Hayle. Short walk down in to town and the harbour. Added bonus of a parking space outside the property.

Love Porthia Penthouse. It's our home from home: love staying here! Although we struggle with the long continuous stairs with shopping and bags to get to the apartment. I would 100% recommend orange roof there was some miscommunication between vrbo and orange roof nevertheless orange roof were very understanding and resolve things fast.

Porthia Penthouse is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed at. It's styled like a boutique hotel & has the comfiest beds. The furniture is good quality & comfortable. The kitchen is large, open plan & extremely well equipped. Neff appliances & everything you could want. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. But the best thing were the views, amazing!! We saw dolphins every day from the fabulous balcony. Loved that we had a Christmas tree & cute decorations too. Thank you, we absolutely loved our stay.

Oh my god. This place. It is absolutely a 100 out of 10. Right from the street to the apartment. Beautiful location central to transportation (st Ives train abs buses). The walk into the apartment is secured and at night the lights automatically turn on at your approach and guide you to your apartment. As soon as I opened the door I knew I made the best decision to choose this apartment. Everything was state of the art. From the floors to the appliances to the furniture. The decorations were modern yet very artistic that do justice to the beauty of st Ives. The views..to die for!!! The view from a private balcony..elevated and unobstructed views of porthminster beach..I couldn't wait to wake up and feast my eyes on that. Everyday!! From the living room, the dining room, the kitchen and even the bedroom. The bathrooms were beautiful. The walk in rain shower in the master and the tub in the guest. This place does not lack anything! Beautiful, clean, artistic and pretty much had everything a person traveling would need. No musky smells. Beautiful and comfortable furniture as well as beds. I didn't have any problems with the heating. All the rooms had a tower fan as I requested. The orange roof staff were extremely professional and checked on me during my stay for comfort. There was even a beautiful welcome gift with my name on it. I can't say enough how much I loved my stay there. Everything was beyond perfect. Oh and did I mention ..a full entertainment system?? And in the bedrooms. There were even dishes for children and toys for the little ones to play in the sand with. Like I said..this place did not leave a thing out!! And the owner rental Lucy is absolutely wonderful. Kept in touch with me before, during and after my stay. I will 100 percent be staying here and only here again when in st Ives. Thank you Lucy and orange roof for my dream rental.

What a wonderful home! We were blown away by the attention to detail and equipment provided, especially for children! We will absolutely be returning! It is very clear that this is a much loved property, by its' owner, and we can understand why! We have been coming to St Ives every year for the last 13 years and Porthia Penthouse has the best coastal view we've ever seen! We loved going for a swim at HarSpa and Harbour View House, down the road, is our new favourite jaunt for brunch and drinks.

We really enjoyed our stay here at the Porthia Penthouse. People say this in reviews, but the apartment was fantastic. The bed was comfortable the pillows soft.I say this as our experiences after this stay wasn't so good. The kitchen was very well equipped and the washer was tops. We have been in many apartments in our time and this is definitely the best we have been to. What I most like is the attention to detail. The whole family is considered here. We travel as a couple but there are plenty of toys and games and beach things to keep the children happy. What I expect from an apartment first-and foremost is cleanliness. This sets me up for a good holiday. This apartment does not disappoint on any level. I have in the past cleaned apartments before use. Not here. It's beautiful and a credit to the owners as well as the management at OrangeRoofs. We knew before we arrived the apartment would be of high standards with your communication and fully comprehensive instructions on how to enter and use the apartment. Lastly I would like to say what impressed me most is the quality of furniture and fittings and most of all the crockery and cutlery. If that was not enough we had the extra benefit of using the spa across the Road. We both really enjoyed this treat. I would definitely stop here again and use apartment managed by Orangeroofs .

Porthia Penthouse was a great place to stay in St Ives with generous, comfortable, well thought out accommodation and tremendous views of Porthminster Beach. Conveniently situated for all the facilities in St Ives and a parking space outside for trips further afield.

Stayed in St Ives many times but first time at Porthia Penthouse. The property is on the third floor so has a wonderful view from the balcony, so worth the climb.
The apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. There is a parking space outside the property and it is just a short walk down into town.
We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return.

We recently stayed at this property and had a great time. The property was clean, modern and had everything we needed. We had clear instructions for getting to the property, parking and getting into the building. AS others have said there's a few flights of stairs but the views from the property are worth it.

The kitchen had everything you needed and instructions for using everything were clear. 

The beach and train station are a few minutes walk away whilst the harbour is maybe a 10 minute walk. 

We used the spa and swimming pool passes which were a great addition when it was raining, it was about a 2 minute walk to get there.

Overall a great stay and we would love to return

Porthia penthouse is amazing you won't be disappointed! The view from the penthouse is incredible and definitely worth the walk up the steps to the apartment. It really does have everything you need for your stay and is really well equipped with everything to a high end specification. My 6 year old loved the x-box and now has one on his birthday list, he also enjoyed some of his favourite tv shows on Netflix. The beds are really comfortable and we loved the blackout blinds in each bedroom. The location of the apartment for us was perfect just a 5 minute walk down the hill to the harbour and Porthminster Beach and your own designated parking spot at the front. Do not hesitate to book the apartment, you won't be disappointed. We rarely book the same place twice but for this apartment I think we will make an exception.

Absolutely incredible apartment, we've stayed here a few times and it's definitely one of the best places we have stayed in St Ives. If you're looking for the best view and location with off street parking, the comfiest beds, gorgeous style, well equipped kitchen and spotlessly clean holiday home then look no further. Porthia Penthouse is perfect in every way.

As a frequent visitor to St ives , our first stay at Porthia. As long as you understand the that there are flights of stairs the penthouse is really lovely and absolutely worth it . Amazing views, every home comfort and high end kitchen accessories. We were extremely comfortable and parking outside is the icing on the cake for us having used many different properties in St Ives. The owners had thought of every home comfort and we were extremely impressed. Thank you Orange Roofs once again for being great in all aspects.

Porthia Penthouse has literally everything you could possibly need whilst on holiday, we have never stayed anywhere as well equipped. The views from the lounge and patio are simply stunning and well worth the climb to the top floor. My only criticism is the scales in the bathroom, I really don't want to know how much weight I've put on whilst on holiday!

Just wow! We didn't want to leave! Porthia Penthouse is incredible. We are a family of 4 (2 children aged 6 and 10yrs) and have just had the most wonderful holiday. The penthouse has the most breath taking views, is in the best location to access all that St Ives has to offer (especially the wonderful Porthminster beach which is across the road) and is the best equipped apartment we have ever stayed in! As soon as you walk through the front door you'll feel like you've stepped into paradise! It just ticks all the boxes and with the added bonus of a parking space right outside the front door, you can't beat it! I have already looked at availability for next year! We will definitely be booking for 2023.

My family and I stayed at the Porthia Penthouse in May for our first trip to St. Ives. The property is easy to get to, and parking is right outside. The instructions provided for checking in, parking, etc, were straight forward. Once we made our way to the penthouse (there is quite a bit of stairs if you are bringing a lot of heavy baggage), we noticed that the unit was exactly as it is depicted in the photos, which is stunning. It was very clean, well maintained, and really new. The views from the dining area and the balcony were amazing. The master bedroom was very spacious, and the second bedroom was spacious as well. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and organized. The washer/dryer was pretty new and did not have any mold (something I look for to see how well things are maintained). I think the best way to describe the property is that the owners built it and organized it as if they were going to live there full time and in luxury. The location was amazing. It is literally across the street (and down some stairs) from Porthminster Beach. It is also a short walk to the town centre. We messaged the host on IG during the stay and they gave us a lot of good recommendations for restaurants and sites to see. Our experience staying at the Porthia Penthouse made us want to come back to St. Ives again, and only if we get to stay there again.

We had the most wonderful stay at the apartment. Fantastic views, home from home comforts, swimming pool access was a bonus, great location for town and parking! What more could we want. Will definitely be coming back next year. Thank you
