Sea Fever

Second time staying here. The house is well equipped with good quality furnishings and appliances. It is ideally placed being a few steps from the Beach and a two minute walk to the lovely Fore Street. Having a parking space is also a wonderful bonus and removes the stress of finding a public parking space which is never easy in St Ives.

We loved our stay. The house is beautiful with everything you could need in a holiday home. All the fixtures and fittings are to a high standard and the artwork around the property makes it feel like a home from home. The welcome pack was amazing, very generous and thoughtful. The house is also spotlessly clean. The position in St Ives is outstanding being 2 mins to the harbour front. Less than a 5 minute walk to the private parking space in Porthgwiddon private car park, which is a must for us when staying in St Ives, as parking is a nightmare otherwise. The space is also very wide and spacious so will fit any size car. There was a maintenance issue we were advised about before we arrived and Orange Roofs were very quick informing us and responding to my queries. Some people have mentioned the spiral stairs but these were very solid and sturdy being made of concrete and our Husky dog had no issues with them at all. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The views from the living room and balcony give this place the wow factor.

We spent a wonderful week at Sea Fever in St Ives. The accommodation, with fantastic views of the harbour, was very comfortable, bright and nicely decorated which more than made up for the rainy weather we had for a few days. Having the two bedrooms split one above / one below the well appointed living area & kitchen level worked well. The location was fantastic, close to the harbour, beaches, restaurants and walking trails. We felt like we were living in a postcard! Would definitely come back!

Wow. What a place. Loved my stay at Sea Fever. The views are absolutely fantastic. Could literally stare at them all day. The location is excellent. Seconds from the beaches, harbour, restaurant and shops and yet really quiet (except for the sea gulls!). Great facilities, fantastic welcome pack of goodies (thank you) and spotlessly clean. There are a lot of stairs so the knees got a good work out and I definitely got a lot better at not leaving keys, phone and dog lead on the wrong floor as my stay went on . Best holiday home I've stayed in by far, I will definitely be back.

Had such a fantastic week at Seafever. Location is amazing, literally less than a minute down the path to the harbour front. The balcony literally has views to savour, spent many evenings sat on it with a glass of wine. Cleanliness, design and everything you could possible need for the beach has been provided for you. Beds are so comfy and the welcome gifts were such a lovely treat. The staff at Orange Roofs are exceptional. Friendliness, communication and after care has been brilliant. We felt the space the property has made our holiday perfect. Listening to the waves as you wake up in bed is something we will miss dearly. Definitely will be booking again. Car park space was spacious and was a real bonus just being around the Corner. Seafever is a hidden gem and with hundreds of properties around St Ives, this clearly now is our favourite and definitely worth a try. Lisa Jennings Lancashire UK

This is a dream property with the most amazing views of the harbour. Everything about this property is of a high standard. I love all the artwork. This is our second visit, and I am sure we will return.

Beautiful newly refurbished to a very high standard. The views from the living area and master bedroom are wonderful. The House was perfectly equipped with everything you could need. The location is great. Our family are fit and mobility isn't a problem and so the spiral staircase was not an issue.

4th time booking with a orange rooms. Why? Quick response to questions, properties always well presented and kitted out, St Ives specialists and good selection to choose from. Sea Fever Views, peace, south facing, and v close car parking (timed at 2min 30secs) are the big benefits here over other places. You compromise with the compact layout on each floor with lots of steps. The utility room downstairs is actually pretty good and a great entrance actually after day on the beach or walking. Note - our dog (Labrador) managed the stairs after the first funny attempt

This was second time we've stayed here. Perfect location and amazing place with everything you need & more. Would highly recommend, but the tight spiral staircases might be an issue for some (this is highlighted in accommodation details). Orange Roofs are also very easy to deal with, and arrival/stay/departure details very clear.

We had such a fantastic stay at Sea Fever. The location is excellent and the parking really close. We couldn't get enough of the exceptional views from the upper floors and the downstairs laundry and shower were so handy. The house is beautifully done, we had everything we could possibly need and felt so at home, we would definitely revisit. A lovely house right in the heart of St Ives with easy access to all the beaches. The house was very clean, tidy, really well equipped with very little need to bring anything other than food/drinks etc. Best parts - the uninterrupted views of the entire harbour all the way to Carbis Bay and beyond from both the balcony and the top/main bedroom meaning you could lie in bed and see it all. Another great addition the downstairs utility/shower with separate access meaning all beach equipment and sandy clothes etc stay downstairs. Beds super comfy. Not a great deal of noise considering the location, just the usual seagulls and a little hubbub from the harbour side. The parking spot is close enough to make loading/unloading pretty straightforward. Orange roofs again are super easy to deal with, everything on the app and any additional contact with them is always friendly and relaxed and non intrusive.

Wounderful place, nicely designed, kitchenenary very well equipped with an amazing view.

This must be one of the best St Ives townhouses refurbished to an extremely high standard for a small family and a dog. 4 levels 3 bathrooms, balcony from living room/kitchen level offering a spectacular view of St Ives bay and surrounding areas. Parking space nearby included. Shops, restaurants on your doorstep. The price is steep but fair, you get what you you pay for.

Sea Fever is a lovely property, really well equipped-it was great to stay somewhere with so many little touches. Salt, pepper, oil and spices were all available as well as fresh eggs, milk and bread. The parking space was fantastic and really close to the house as well.

Fabulous location, the addition of a balcony elevates this property and being able to open the doors fully brings the outdoors in. Really well appointed. Great to have parking space close by, taking the stress out of queuing for a space. All in all this is a lovely property

Brilliant place to stay in St. Ives. Position overlooking the harbour, with an amazing view, couldn't be better. Property very clean & well-equipped & everything excellent quality - couldn't fault anything. Quite compact (perfect for the two of us) & the narrow spiral stairs were a bit of a challenge to haul suitcases up! Parking space in car park nearby was great (although driving through St, Ives can be quite nerve wracking! Communication & information from Orangeroofs was excellent.

We have had a wonderful 3 nights here. The property is first class and what was particularly welcome was the fresh bread, butter and milk waiting for us along with a chilled bottle of prosecco! The finish on the property was quality and quality is the main lasting impact. Finally the balcony was wonderful with fantastic harbour views. Have booked for next year.

As the previous owner of the property it was a great privilege to stay at Sea Fever. The cottage was spectacular & attention to detail was unsurpassed, making our stay there very pleasurable.

What a little gem Sea Fever is. The fantastic views & the sounds of the sea top any holiday home we have ever stayed in. The house is so well equipped with quality items & some wonderful art work. Extremely well thought out & designed. Great to have a parking space a few minutes walk away, a real bonus for beautiful St Ives. Big thank you owners for sharing your special place. Never been disappointed with properties we have found through Orange Roofs. Sea Fever was no exception. Excellent facilities and utilities as always and a fantastic location with beautiful sea views. It really was a bonus to have permit parking in the Island Car Park too. Kitchen had everything you would need to prepare and eat in and the living area was so comfortable with a view over the harbour. The bed was really comfortable and the property was lovely and warm for our February stay Would definitely book again

Lovely house, stunning views, the photos do not do this place justice! The steps between floors are not for the faint hearted, but once mastered turned into a good daily workout! The stairs to heaven are worth it though for the amazing views, especially from the top floor master bedroom! Our main observation about Sea Fever was the small touches. Lots of lovely decor/ artwork, furnishings, and talking points - which we personally really admire and appreciate when staying in a home away from home. The ground floor/ 1st floor bedroom is subject to noise from the road (passers by)and also the neighbouring house next door - surprisingly these old Cornish houses are not as soundproof as you would expect...but a few Cornish tipples will rock you on your way and a lot of this disturbance could have been due to a very busy NY week and lots of people quite rightfully celebrating!!! All in all, a fab stay, and would certainly stay again.

My family and I have just spent Christmas 2024 at Sea Fever, we spend every Christmas in St Ives and I think we've finally found the best accommodation! The position is prime, close to both the beach and the harbour with all the shops and restaurants. The house itself is decorated to a high standard and I admired the variety of art work. It is clearly regularly maintained, there is little sign of rental over use. You'd also never know this is a dog friendly property, a bonus given we didn't have one. The utility room is ideal for walking in straight off the beach and then into the shower room, great planning. The photos of the kitchen-diner / lounge don't do it justice. We were a little concerned it might be too small for the 4 of us, but not at all. It was lovely being in the one space together. The kitchen is better equipped than my own and the welcome package was incredibly generous. Fortunately we had a few days where the weather allowed us to open the balcony doors and enjoy the harbour view to the max. No issues with any of the appliances or utilities. Each bedroom has an ensuite which is great given split over multiple levels. Finally, it was lovely to see the effort made with the Christmas decorations, again very tasteful and in keeping with the property. We will return!

Lovely stay! Great view and the weather turned out to be so warm for November. A lot of stairs for our miniature dachshund but even that couldn't put a dampener on a wonderful week. Thank you.

Absolutely loved this property. What's not to love. The most amazing views. Whatever the weather it's WOW. Luxurious and comfortable. Immaculately clean. Great communication with Orange Roofs. Would not hesitate booking via them again. Once I had mastered the stairs I was fine. It definitely needs taking into consideration when you book though. Good to have a parking spot too. 5 * property. The only thing I'd recommend is some blinds on the bifolds. When the sun was shining it was extremely hot.

A lovely house in a perfect location, with amazing views over the harbour. The house had everything in it you could need and a lot of extras to make it a great holiday stay. The spiral stairs (esp down to ground floor level) are small, so could be in issue if you have limited mobility, or big luggage! The lower bedroom is also small & has no view, but this wasn't an issue for us either. Would highly recommend the property, and Orange Roofs were great too!

We have stayed several times at Sea Fever over the last few years and it is a perfect place to enjoy a holiday in St Ives. The balcony with a harbour view is wonderful - I love the view. The house is perfectly equipped and very comfortable. Looking forward to my next visit.

Sea Fever wow to start with what a view it's simply amazing from the balcony and even better from the bedroom what a view to wake up to every morning! All the interiors are top quality, and all spotless! When we arrived there was a lovely welcome package fresh bread milk eggs biscuits butter all locally sourced coffee pods for the machine flowers and a lovely welcome card. From the time I booked the communication was great up to the time we left! Thank you ORANGE ROOFS! We had a lovely week!

Sea Fever is a stunning property with everything you could possibly need for a great holiday in St Ives. The views are stunning and the property is extremely well laid out. One of the best places I have stayed in St ives. And the reserved parking is a huge bonus.

A fantastic property, set in a brilliant location, with high-quality fixtures and fittings. Great views across St Ives Harbour, very convenient parking a 3min walk away and a highly recommended place to stay when in St Ives.

Had a throughly enjoyable New Year at Sea Fever, it is a great location if you know the area and you have everything you need. The specification is high quality and the views are stunning. Having access externally through the Utility Room is also great, that is what we tended to use and would be even better after a day on the beach. 

This is an amazing property. Although it is set on four floors, this adds to the authenticity of it. Loved the concrete spiral staircase, the artwork throughout, the nespresso milk frother!, and most importantly the fantastic views. Unrivalled I would suggest.

High quality facilities, and the house was spotlessly presented.

Just a lovely week at Sea Fever. The balcony really opens up the front room and was lovey to sit out and have breakfast on, in October!

Quiet, warm and everything you need, and literally a stones throw from the harbour front. Car parking space is close by so getting to and fro is very easy.

We did (attempted) so surfing so having the wet room and space downstairs was ideal. A really good set up all round. Faultless.

We have been going to St Ives for many years now and can honestly say that Sea Fever is the best property we have found (and we have looked at a great number online).

It's location cannot be bettered - it is moments from the centre of St Ives and the Harbourside yet it is so quiet inside. It's four storey layout makes the best of everything and the view from the lounge - especially when the balcony bifold doors are open is absolutely amazing. When you walk into the kitchen/lounge and look out of the window - WOW is an understatement - the view of the harbour and far side of St Ives is amazing.

The balcony gets the sun from morning until evening.

Every room is so light and bright and the decor and furnishings are of excellent quality. The beds are very comfy and the showers are great - nice and powerful.

There is an array of beach items in the basement - everything you could need whatever your age.

So, would I recommend this property - ABSOLUTELY YES.

Fantastic holiday home in a great location! Kitted out with high spec appliances with everything you need to self cater plus more, such as beach chairs and games.
Fabulous welcome basket too which meant we settled in quickly. The only slight downside was being unable make the most of our first and last day due to being unable to get the key and therefore car park pass before 4pm - yet having to vacate the space by 10am as the pass has to be left in the apartment. An automated text and email was sent at 4pm, a more personal touch by letting us know we could get in earlier even if only by an hour would've been amazing. Or a different system for parking. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

Thank you for your review Emma. I am sorry you couldn't get in before the check-in time of 4pm on the day of your arrival. The housekeeping and maintenance teams have just 6 hours to turn the house around from the previous guests in readiness for a new guest arrival where the house and its contents need to be as good as new as possible. This all takes time and so we can't always let people in earlier but, where we can, we always get in touch and share the good news! The housekeeper has the parking space during the changeover day to make their lives easier lifting heavy linen bags and cleaning materials to and from the house rather than needing to do this from a public car park a longer walk away.

Facilities excellent we were two couples and we couldn't have asked for more.
My only comment to anyone reading this is it would not suit anyone with walking disabilities due to the spiral staircases.
Other than that fantastic and would book again.

Sea Fever must be one of the best place to spend your holiday in St Ives!
It is a well equipped and very tastefully decorated house in an excellent location, close to everything, but still not too close to the busy waterfront.
Rooms are small, but still everything has been fitted in.
We were so happy for the private parking!
Communication with Orange Roofs and all practicalities were excellent too and we can definitely recommend any rental from them.

A beautifully designed 5* property, sparkling clean, with top quality fittings & an amazing view over the harbour from the 1st floor terrace. The location is superb allowing easy access to both sides of the headland. Parking was close by. A delightful stay & recommended 100%

We recently stayed at Sea Fever & what a lovely place to stay , it meet all our needs & more . So convenient for everything shops ,beach etc . Orange Roofs property's are always of a high standard & staff are excellent , soon be booking with them again .

This is the third time we have stayed at Sea Fever and, from walking through the front door, to opening the bifold doors in the lounge, everything you see is a WOW! It is so well laid out, there are so many extra touches and you can tell that everything is of the highest quality. If you are looking for 5* quality, close to the beach and shops with an amazing view from a balcony, you will not find a better place to stay.

The views from Sea Fever are simply stunning especially from the main bedroom on the top floor. It is equipped to a very high standard and has everything you could possibly need. The ground floor wet room is very useful for hanging wetsuits and washing off sandy feet. The L shaped sofa in the living area was big and comfy. The upstairs bathroom is very roomy and the 2 additional en-suite shower rooms were very useful being a family with 2 teenage sons. I would say if you have small children the spiral staircases could be a bit tricky. We have had absolutely gorgeous weather and haven't seen a cloud all week. I'm not complaining but the living area did get rather warm with the sun shining through the Bi-Fold doors all day, maybe a blind would make this better? There were however 2 Dyson fans in the bedrooms. Overall I would recommend this property and would stay here again just for the views!

Fantastic base right on the beach, shops & restaurants of St. Ives. The cottage was beautifully presented with everything you need from fantastic views a perfect sun drenched balcony and all the facilities you could want.

Having booked to stay in Sea Fever in 2019, we finally got to spend a week there. The view from the living room balcony was mesmerising, even during the frequent rain showers, and the house was decorated beautifully. We loved all the art, especially Jo Downs' glasswork. Everything was anticipated by Orange Roofs, including leaving us generous supplies of basics - plus Prosecco! The professionalism of the staff at Orange Roofs was remarkable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Sea Fever is a marvellous place to stay in St Ives - very well equipped kitchen, really comfy beds and a lovely balcony overlooking the harbour. The house has been so imaginatively designed - very light and with really good art on the walls. I have always enjoyed staying there.

Appearances can be deceptive. On arrival Sea Fever looks like an unassuming home in the Downalong area of St Ives. But climb the spiral staircase and WOW the view is spectacular. It's even better from the top floor bedroom with amazing views looking down on the harbour and beyond. The house itself is beautifully presented with comfortable seating making the most of that view. The kitchen is well stocked and the welcome pack much appreciated after a long drive down. The Prosecco went down a treat. From the entrance down the spiral staircase there's a laundry room and shower, great if you've spent the day at the beach. It's in a great location close to all the beaches, cafes, restaurants and shops. The parking just a few minutes walk away is a bonus. Housekeeping were excellent leaving the place spotless for us to enjoy. There was only the two of us so we had plenty of space to move around. I found the spiral staircase a little tricky to climb and that was my only negative but I am nearly sixty. Overall a beautiful place to stay with fabulous views being the star attraction. On arrival what first amazes you is the breathtaking view, we all found it difficult to leave, also we had been left a fabulous selection of local goodies which were all very welcome after a long drive. We had all been to St Ives many times before , but agreed this was the best we had stayed in. Orange Roofs are the best booking company I've dealt with , when booking they were so helpful and you felt they really wanted to do their best for you , great advise on everything . While stopping our toaster broke it was attended to almost immediately, and they sent a charming young lady to replace it , she said she'd only been there 3 weeks. Thank you for all your attention it's the second time we've booked with you .I would throughly recommend you..and thanks to the owner for the lend of the house.

We've known about Sea Fever for a long time but it's taken until now for us to book - it was definitely worth waiting for! We spent four nights and it's been the perfect break. The house is well appointed, comfortable and has everything you could want. It has been thoughtfully renovated by the owners and everything is sheer quality. The view of the bay from the lounge and upstairs bedroom is stunning - especially the sunrise and the parking space nearby is definitely a bonus, although I wouldn't recommend going in too big a car - the roads in St Ives can be a bit of a challenge!

Fantastic property, well furnished, perfect views, just gorgeous. Spiral staircase could be a problem for older people.

This is a stylishly renovated cottage in a fabulous position. The little balcony is a real bonus. The attention to detail and quality of decoration and furnishing is outstanding. We loved the beautiful artwork and really comfortable beds - and whatever the weather we enjoyed sitting and watching the changing view. The ground floor utility room is a real bonus because it allows you to shed wet/sandy boots and coats plus having the washing machine and drier and the shower makes this a really practical cottage for both winter and summer visits. Our only concern was that for four adults the living space is a little tight ( eg four adults sitting at the table was a bit of a squeeze). But that is a minor point compared to the overall experience and we ate out most of the time. Final point - what a joy to find such a fabulous place is dog friendly !!!

Sea Fever had everything you could ever want in a holiday cottage and so much more! Everything was thoroughly clean and sparkling and the equipment provided in the kitchen/dining area was beyond expectations. The location of the cottage and view from the balcony and top bedroom were lovely. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here and would recommend Orange Roofs as a letting agent.

The spectacular sea and harbour views and the high quality of the furnishings and decor help to make this a special place. The Orange Roofs team pulled out all the stops to help solve a problem with noisy neighbours.
