About Enys Cottage

Enys Cottage is a beautifully restored fisherman’s holiday cottage in St Ives on Back Road East, the very heart of Downalong. This boutique cottage has two bedrooms, two luxury shower rooms, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. Enys Cottage is a perfect bolt-hole for couples or small families who would like to book and stay at a holiday cottage in St Ives while enjoying its many restaurants and cafes. This charming St Ives cottage is dog-friendly but they do need to be pocket-sized! The owners are happy for guests to bring along their dog if it is a small breed (10kg or under), has its own bed and is exceptionally well-mannered and behaved.

This pretty cottage has been carefully restored with love; as soon as you walk through the front stable door, you recognise the quality of craftsmanship in making it wonderfully comfortable and practical. There is a built-in kitchen with a two-point induction hob, built-in electric oven and microwave. There is an integrated slimline dishwasher and a double under-counter fridge with one ice box compartment so plenty of space for chilled bottles of wine and some ice cubes! Enjoy your morning coffee courtesy of the Nespresso coffee machine. Smeaton's Pier is just around the corner so you can carry your coffee and Danish pastry to enjoy the uninterrupted sunrise sea views, mug in hand.

There is a built-in bench seat and two dining chairs so perfect for a leisurely breakfast or a quick supper around the dining table. The 3-seater sofa is perfect for relaxing in front of the large Smart TV or with a good book as are the comfortable beds in both bedrooms. On the first floor is the double bed with a handcrafted built-in wardrobe and en-suite shower room with wash basin and WC. On the second floor is the twin bedroom which has a Smart TV plus an en-suite shower, wash basin and WC. So much love and attention has gone into this beautiful boutique cottage promising guests a good night's sleep and luxury showering facilities.

Enys Cottage is a perfect place to use as a base in St Ives as it's remarkably close to all five St Ives' beaches as well as the St Ives Harbour, restaurants, shops, cafes, and galleries. There are a couple of long-stay car parks within a short walk of the cottage; Island car park and Barnoon car park. The largest car park; Trenwith at St Ives Leisure Centre, is a 20-minute walk away or the St Ives Rugby Club is around 25 minutes to reach on foot. The train station is a 15-minute walk at most from the cottage so perfect for weekend breaks away.

There is an enormous choice of restaurants to eat at in St Ives and the closest to Enys Cottage are all within a 2-minute stroll such as Porthgwidden Beach Cafe, Porthmeor Beach Cafe, The Searoom and Cintra Seafood Bar. The walk to most places in St Ives from this beautiful cottage is relatively flat across cobbled lanes and only a few granite steps across the town.

Thank you for a great stay at Enys Cottage was perfect for our Christmas break. The location was amazing, 20 seconds walk to the closest beach and 2 minutes walk to all the restaurants and pubs. I've stayed in St Ives for Christmas for around 8 years now and your property is hands down the nicest. Finished to a high standard and very homely. We will be staying again

Absolutely stunning everything is there for you, the whole house is laid out perfectly. The beds are so comfy, the extra attention to detail is outstanding. The heating was perfect and able to work out.
The kitchen had everything you needed, being also so close to everything was perfect. One of the nicest places that we have stayed in St Ives. A wonderful holiday and such a great place to stay in . Thank you

We had a lovely break away at Enys cottage, St Ives. The cottage has been recently renovated to a very high standard, the beds are so comfortable we slept like babies, the bathrooms and kitchen just shout "class". The open plan layout downstairs has made the most of a small quaint cottage and given it a modern feel whilst still feeling really cosy. Location wise is perfect. A 2 minute walk and you are at the harbour where all the bars and restaurants are, don't be put off by that though, the cottage is tucked away enough to be peaceful, quiet and relaxed.
We would highly recommend this high end holiday let that the owner has obviously put a lot of love into. We hope to book again soon.

What an amazing few days we spent in Enys Cottage! It has been beautifully renovated with such care and attention to detail; it felt like staying in a boutique hotel. The cottage is in a brilliant location - a stone's throw from the harbour...we loved our morning strolls with the thermos mugs. We spent so much time on Porthmeor beach where the waves were fantastic for body boarding, loved seal spotting round at Porthgwidden and paddle boarding in the harbour. The cottage is so well equipped with everything we needed to cook at home, but also close enough to some lovely bars and restaurants for those nights when we fancied eating out. The family-sized sofa was the perfect place to chill out in the evenings and watch a movie together. We slept really well and have come home to buy ourselves a feather duvet! It's the little touches that make this such a special place to stay. We felt very lucky to be some of the first guests and can't wait to return soon. Our new favourite St Ives home-from-home!
