About Vitamyn Sea
In light of the COVID-19 virus, we want to reassure you that this St Ives self-catering property is disinfected (hard surfaces and soft furnishings) after each guest stay. Please note that until we can resume normal service, check in time is 5.30pm and check out is 9am. If you are looking to holiday in a traditional cottage in St Ives but with all the modern comforts and high quality fittings of a well-thought out home, Vitamyn Sea will certainly tick that box. The home, fully renovated in 2020, has undergone a substantial facelift to now provide a St Ives self-catering holiday home all the family will love. Whether it’s a cosy and romantic getaway for a couple or a large family of 8, Vitamyn Sea will certainly provide you with the tonic needed to feel relaxed and recuperated after a holiday in St Ives. This 4-storey house has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a small outside seating area and allocated parking for 1 car provided at St Ives Rugby Club (13 minutes on foot, a couple of minutes by car). Through the front door you walk along a short hallway into the dining area with a large table to seat 8 comfortably and into the horseshoe shape kitchen with integrated dishwasher, fridge and freezer, oven, microwave and hob. Fabulously equipped to cater for your family holidays, you will feel naturally home from home. Off the dining room is the bunk bedroom which is a cosy snug for your little ones. Move down to the ground floor via plush carpeted stairs and arrive to the utility area that houses the washing machine, tumble drier and boiler. There is a bedroom with built-in wardrobes that can either be a twin bed or king size bed (please note there are low beams in this room and so if you are 5ft 8 or over, you will need to take care!). Opposite the bedroom is a shower room with large walk-in shower, wash basin and WC. You can also get access to the small courtyard area which has some built in benches to sit and contemplate the day’s activities with your morning coffee.
Moving upstairs from the kitchen and dining room will take you to a further two double bedrooms and a family bathroom with shower over bath, WC and wash basin. In one of the double bedrooms, there are wall to wall built-in wardrobes and the other, which looks down onto a very pretty town garden, has free standing hanging space.
Finally, the top floor is the cherry on top of this wonderful St Ives holiday home. You can't help but be bowled over by the large panoramic window which frames Godrevy Lighthouse and sea views beyond the town house orange roofs! With two super comfortable sofas, you can sit and lose yourself in the view for hours. Of course, when it gets dark and the view changes to twinkling lights from the town, lamps of the bobbing fishing boats on the sea and Godrevy's watchful beam, you will remain transfixed. There is a Smart TV and sound system for when you do want to tear yourself away from the changing view and watch your favourite programmes while relaxing into holiday mode.
You are within a few minutes' walk to St Ives harbour and nearest beach. Porthmeor beach is a 5 to 10 minute walk, Porthminster beach is slightly less but, wherever you want to walk to in St Ives, it really isn't far away and the views en route are really something! There are many restaurants in St Ives catering for all tastes and dietary needs as well as galleries, independent shops and, if you fancied getting active, you have a choice of surf schools, outdoor adventures on the sea such as stand-up paddle boarding or kayaking. If you prefer staying on dry land, the walks in and around St Ives are breath-takingly beautiful where you can go from coast to moor and back again in a day while taking in a lunch along the way either by packing a picnic or stopping at a pub serving hearty meals and delicious and refreshing local drinks.
If you want to explore further afield, there are so many places to visit from West to East. Some of our favourites are St Michael's Mount in Marazion, The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno, the dramatic coastline and walks stretching between Land's End and Cape Cornwall, Kynance Cove on the Lizard, The Helford River and the stupendous tropical gardens of Trebah or Glendurgan plus so many more. Having a parking space you can come back to each time will certainly help you plan day's out without the stress of parking!
Please note that dogs are not allowed at Vitamyn Sea, all bed linen and towels are provided for your stay but please bring along your own beach towels. There is no travel cot or high chair at the property but we are very happy to recommend a local firm where you can hire these separately where they drop them off to the property for your convenience.
